Each ABC berks Nanny Has
Families love our ABC Nannies familiar with the Berks County After School Program like Lucette, who encourages learning through play.
“I am a diverse educator who believes that children are an inspiration and hold promise for the future. While I have been with the Berks County After School Program for many years, being a nanny gives me the opportunity to be one on one with the children to help them develop emotionally, intellectually, creatively, and socially. It is my passion to work with children. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because it give me the opportunity to make a difference in children’s lives one at a time. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over nine years and can honestly say I love what I do! My goal as a Nanny is to help children to develop their creative, emotional, intellectual, and social skills. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes light cleaning, laundry, dusting, and making snacks. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am honest, hardworking, dedicated, personable, and educated. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include creative play, storytelling, self-help skills, and arts and crafts. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be friendly.”
“It is truly a privilege to have Lucette as a part of our classroom environment. Every day she brings vigor and enthusiasm to each classroom task. She is always willing to give herself voluntarily for the sake of the children. Joanne works in small groups with some of the children that have difficulty with basic recognition skills (shapes, colors, alphabet, etc). The children are building confidence in themselves as well as ability in the basic skills areas. Always wanting to learn more about early childhood development, she constantly asks questions of myself and others and reads information to make herself more knowledgeable. With her loving, caring, and sensitive manner Lucettewould be an asset to anyBerks County After School Program.”
“Lucette went above and beyond for us. She fulfilled the job requirement and then some. She is very passionate about what she does and very knowledgeable. She provided a nurturing, educational environment with consistency and compassion. We saw a major difference in his behavior after switching from another provider-- he was much more respectful and got along so well with other children. Many people noticed how well he played with others and we owe that to Lucette. She was very thorough and organized-- always keeping a detailed log of his days. She always fed nutritious meals and kept the children on a very consistent routine. She provided a stimulating, educational environment in which all the children absolutely thrived. I could never say enough positive things about Lucette and we would recommend her to anyone looking for a Berks County After School Program..”
