Initial Phone Interview |
| |
Once the Nanny’s application is received, an ABC Scheduling Coordinator will contact the applicant to conduct a phone interview. The Coordinator will ask the candidate a variety of questions to assist her in determining whether or not the applicant will be a successful addition to our database. If we believe the potential candidate fits ABC Nanny Source criteria, the applicant will be asked to come if for a face to face interview with two separate Placement Counselors.

Face-to-Face Interview with ABC |
| |
ABC Nanny Source considers this stage to be a very critical one in the application process. It is a scary fact that most Nanny Agencies do not require their Nannies to ever come to their office. ABC requires each candidate to come to the agency and meet with two different Placement Counselors for an extensive face-to-face interview.
|
Criminal Background Checks and MVR |
| |
Unlike other agencies, ABC Nanny Source performs all background and driving motor vehicle checks before the Nanny comes to your home for an interview. Other agencies are notorious for waiting until after you have extended the Nanny an offer before obtaining these clearances. ABC Nanny Source understands how important it is to have all of the information you need in advance, allowing you to make the most informed decision possible!
|
One Year Commitment Pledge |
| |
We understand how important longevity can be for your family, which is why ABC Nanny Source only offers professional career Nannies for your consideration. Each candidate must promise to provide a minimum of one year of service to your family in order to be accepted as an ABC Nanny. If the applicant is not willing or able to offer this to our families, they are automatically disqualified.
|
Five-Panel Drug Test |
| |
ABC Nanny Source requires each and every applicant to submit to and pass a 5 panel drug test processed through Quest Diagnostics. It can be very disconcerting to believe that the candidate in front of you is very respectable (at least on paper), only to find out later that they refused or failed a drug test. ABC Nanny Source takes every precaution to ensure your children will be in good hands!
|
Social Security Verification Trace |
| |
Each candidate that you consider through ABC Nanny Source is legally authorized to work in the United States. The agency performs a Social Security Verification Trace on each applicant as part of the screening process, verifying their eligibility.

When the Nanny applicant arrives to an ABC Nanny Source recruiting office for a face to face interview, she is photographed. This photo is added to the candidate's electronic profile once they have been accepted into the agency.
|
Electronic Fingerprints |
| |
In order for each applicant to move on to the next phase of the interview process, they must allow an ABC Nanny Source staff member to obtain a full set of fingerprints. We firmly believe that it is impossible to be too extensive when screening these potential childcare providers!
|
References and Credentials |
| |
Each candidate’s references and credentials have been checked and verified prior to her profile being sent to your family for review. The ABC Nanny Source verification department spends a great deal of time ensuring that all of the information that the Nanny provides is legitimate. When you receive a profile for a Nanny you are considering, you are provided with all of the details of the verification as well as the contact numbers so you can contact the references yourself if you would like.
|
ABC's Code of Conduct |
| |
ABC Nanny Source makes each candidate fully aware of the agency's Code of Conduct. The Code explains ABC's expected proper behavior, appropriate attire, and the standards that the agency insists all ABC Nannies adhere to. After the candidate agrees to abide by ABC's ethical protocol and has been through the additional steps of the screening process, she is ready to meet with families registered with ABC Nanny Source! |
