Questions to Ask Your Washington DC Nanny Agency
Choosing the best agency to find the perfect Nanny for your family is a major decision. In order to confirm you are receiving the absolute best service, consider the following questions when comparing Nanny services in Washington, DC.
Do you require your applicants to come to your office to apply?
Each ABC Nanny has been to the agency and met with at least two different Placement Counselors for a face-to-face interview prior to being accepted. Sadly, most other Agencies do not require the candidates to apply in person, allowing them to meet with families without ever actually meeting a single person face-to-face.

At what point during the process do you complete the various background checks on the candidates?
You will find that most agencies perform the clearances after the Nanny has been hired by a family. ABC Nanny Source cannot imagine sending someone into your home without having first completed the background verifications to ensure that you are safe. We provide the results of their national background clearances and electronic fingerprinting prior to them ever stepping foot in your home.
Are you candidates required to pass any type of drug test in order to be considered?
Absolutely! Each Nanny accepted to ABC Nanny Source has submitted to and passed a 5 panel drug test done through Quest Diagnostics in order to proceed to the next step of ABC's extensive 10 Step Screening Process.
Are all of your Nannies legally authorized to work in the U.S?
In addition to all of the background clearances that we require, each Nanny’s legal ability to work in the U.S is verified through a Social Security Verification Trace prior to her commencing employment with your family.
Is it a normal procedure for your agency to acquire and retain fingerprints for the each Nanny applicant?
At ABC Nanny Source, it is! You can never take too many precautions with the safety of children. We have scanned fingerprints on file for each Nanny you are introduced to.
Do you require your Nannies to have any specific certifications?
Most agencies will tell you no. ABC Nanny Source, however, requires each Nanny to be certified in Child and Infant CPR prior to ever coming to your home for an interview.
Does your agency provide any type of guarantee for the services you provide?
ABC Nanny Source does! Others do not, and if they do, it is a "prorated guarantee," meaning that you will need to pay another Placement Fee if you need to replace your Nanny. ABC Nanny Source offers a ONE-YEAR guarantee with all placements, whether part time or full time. We are confident that each of our Nannies are as concerned about the stability of your family and are committed to remaining with your family for the long-term.
