Jennifer has been a Lancaster County Tutor and working with children is what she considers she does best!

“My goals have always been to work with children and to give back to others. I believe children are the foundation of our future. It is our job as caregivers to help propel them forward to recognize and achieve their goals. This begins at a very early age with children. Reading to them, playing games, creating fun art projects are all different ways to support children to meeting their full potential. This is only one of many reasons why I want to continue to be a Nanny. My personality is loving, outgoing, hardworking and very detail-oriented. To be the best Nanny I can be it is important that I listen well to the primary caregivers and work together to support their needs. This is something I have found is vital while working as a Nanny and easy for me to follow through with. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because children are the foundation of our future and what is more exciting than supporting the families who are raising these leaders of tomorrow. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 10 years including being a Lancaster County Tutor and can honestly say I LOVE what I do! I feel the children are not only learners but also teachers. I have learned some of life’s greatest lessons from children. My goal as a Nanny is to Support the primary caregivers to the best of my ability in helping to care for their most precious family members. I am willing to do housekeeping at the children requests that includes tidying rooms, cleaning toys, organizing playrooms, laundry for the children, and light cooking (Possibly other duties that are agreeable between both party members). If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am genuine, loving, empathic, respectful and hardworking. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include daily exercise, age appropriate arts & crafts, education outings, reading, age appropriate education games, and play time. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be excited to have extra support, keep open lines of communication, and positive partnership between nanny and primary caregiver.”

“Jen was able to fulfill the requirements of the job. She is reliable and dependable. She was always prompt, yet able to be flexible, adapting well to schedule changes, and generally able keep in mind several on-going tasks. You can rely on Jen! She will adapt to your parenting style and what you want for your children. She is solid and dependable as she has previously been a Lancaster County Tutor. She was very flexible and accommodating while working with me. If you want safety and security for your children, and someone you can depend on, Jen will do a good job!”

“Jennifer was just wonderful! She was always on time and extremely dependable. Jennifer is just an excellent person and just fabulous with children! She always did everything I asked and more! Jennifer just adored the children and got down on the floor and played with them all the time and was very interactive with them always! I can without hesitations highly recommend Jennifer for another Nanny position through this Elizabeth Nanny Agency for sure as she also has experience as a Lancaster County Tutor!”

“I worked with Jen on a daily basis, in a Learning Support Class. In that classroom there were times of great difficulty with students behavior. Jen was very calm, and caring during those times. She is great with children. I feel she is very consistent when it comes to discipline. She was well liked by the students and her co-workers. Jen is a very positive person, in her own life and with the students. With her prior experience as a Lancaster County Tutor she is great with children and I think she would make a wonderful nanny. I believe she would be able to handle any situation with ease, and I believe any child would benefit from her. Jen is a very caring individual. I think she always looks for the positive, no matter what the situation may be. She has a very well rounded personality. She is able to play with the children, but still discipline when necessary.”

“My children LOVE their Aunt Jenny, since she is always creative and willing to play lots of games with them! I know that when I leave them they will have fun and will be well taken care of. She always has something fun, and educational at the same time to play with them. In addition, she leaves my house cleaner than when I left, which as a busy mom, I love! She puts a lot of herself into the job. She had previously participated as a Lancaster County Tutor, which she has obtained great patients from. This is sometimes good because she actually cares, but sometimes works too hard. She always has creative ways to get them to do things that I would never think of, even if they do not want to do it. She sings and plays with them, and they do everything, mostly without realizing that Jen got her way without an argument at all. She has taken care of my two girls throughout their lives, and taken care of them at different ages as well as together. My two girls can be a handful, but she never bats an eye at what they do, only takes it in stride. She is very loving and accepting of all children. I can see this even if friends are visiting. My experience has never been anything but perfect!”

“Jennifer's job was to design craft projects that would be entertaining and well as educational. She had the resources of the daycare center to use at her disposal. These lessons were done for a month at a time and need to fulfill state guidelines. Jennifer was great at using books, play dough, craft items and numerous other things to work with the children. She was always able to communicate well with the children and also involve them into the project at hand. Jennifer’s previous position as a Lancaster County Tutor has let her develop great communications between her and the children. Jennifer had great communication skills with the parents when they would come to pick up their child. Jennifer is able to read children's personalities very well. She is able to find ways to entertain, help the child learn and if she is unable to find ways to work with a child, she will research and ask questions to obtain the success she is looking for. Jennifer was a very positive addition to the staff of my day care center. The children, parents and staff always looked forward to her return from school to work at the center. She had good ideas that fulfilled the state requirements for the educational and social skills of the different ages of children we serviced. She had a confidence about her that the parents appreciated and enjoyed.”

“Jennifer's personality is that of a truly caring nurturer combined with an overall essence of pleasant, uplifting cheer, which makes her extremely complimentary to ABC's Elizabeth Nanny Agency. With children especially, I have observed her keen ability to be flexible according to children's individual personalities and needs, keeping interactions alive with appropriate fun, while securing their most essential and basic needs as well. She is an excellent care giver, able to be most proper while having the most fun for the benefit of the children she is responsible for. I have had the fortunate experience of rooming with Jennifer for the better stretch of the two years I attended college with her. I met her my first day of orientation as a transfer student. As a volunteer on the orientation committee, she was approachable, friendly, pleasant, funny, and extremely helpful. In the near four years since then that has past, she has only proven herself solid and consistent with that first impression she gave. We quickly grew a lasting friendship. Early on, she communicated to me her love of children and desire to work with them as she used to be a Lancaster County Tutor for children . I knew of and observed of first hand her loving relationship with her nieces, permitted by their parents to spend an occasional night sleeping over at "Aunt Jenny's" college apartment. Surely, she rightfully earned the trust of such responsibility and took excellent care of her nieces whenever they were around. When it comes to quality, loving care, Jennifer is not limited to her relatives. I recall a period of time when she cared for a boy named John Mark a few nights a week throughout a semester, maybe two. A shy, but adorable 2 year old boy, he was the son of one of Jennifer's university professors, who personally approached her with this request to care for her son while she taught evening graduate classes. Jennifer gladly accepted, she always had enjoyed opportunities to baby sit and was honored that her professor selected her for the part-time evening nanny position. Jennifer would pick him up from preschool, and at times they would arrive back at our college apartment, where she fixed and fed him dinner, asked about his day, and offered choices for play activity until his mother arrived. Other nights, at the request of John Mark's mother, she cared for him at his home, and would be there to get him ready for bed, until his Mother arrived home to tuck him in. John Mark's mother always seemed to me thankful, appreciative and happy for having a caregiver like Jennifer. I surely believe her many excellent qualities as a person and her caring nature are reflected in all of her relationships, thus it has been a great blessing to have her as a friend. I don't doubt she is a lifetime friend and has always proven dependable and understanding. As a professional caregiver in the mental health field, I believe Jennifer herself possesses all the strengths, qualities, and skills I would certainly require of anyone I would consider hiring for the position of a nanny. Lastly, I think it is helpful to additionally note that I know her to be quite organized, neat, timely...I learned these about her quickly while rooming together. I am glad to know her and would proudly recommend her for any position working with children or otherwise.
