Nanny, lehigh

ABC Nanny Source is excited to represent Laura as a Lehigh County Personal Assistant who is enthusiastic, positive, and loves children!

“I am a very enthusiastic, positive, and caring individual! I enjoy an active lifestyle, one in which I can try new things and learn every day. I feel that I possess the personality characteristics that are necessary in building a trust relationship with a family. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I enjoy working with children and making a difference in the world. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 2 years and can honestly say I enjoy what I do! I feel the children should be encouraged and develop strong confidence in themselves. My goal as a Nanny is to give support to the family in what they need. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and walking pets. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am energetic, enthusiastic, athletic, responsible, and dependable. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include walks to a playground, art, music, and reading. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Lehigh County Personal Assistant like me I would hope they would be I would be happy and active!"

“Laura exhibited a level of dedication to her students and program that far surpasses the requirements and expectations of both her toddler team and other teachers at the center! Within her classroom, Laura upholds the standards and order needed to maintain a healthy, happy atmosphere. She is a wonderful person with an upbeat attitude which reflects in the children's daily activities. Her students trust and respect her as an authority figure and act accordingly. With her use of simple, age appropriate directions and positive reinforcement, Laura rarely relies on time-outs and formal behavioral modification because her students are able to understand her verbal and nonverbal cues clearly, and from them, decide the right course of action. Her creativity goes unmatched when compared to teachers of similarly aged children. She values the artistic characteristics of each child and allows each to express them through daily projects, dramatic play, and active construction. She has implemented weekly themes for her toddler curriculum to bridge connections between the tangible tactile experiences and real world concepts by employing all senses in learning. She has blossomed into a lead teacher by gently yet authoritatively guiding her students to make age appropriate choices while allowing them to learn in the least restrictive environment. Laura loves her students and takes joy in watching the "ah-hah" moments take place when her students make new discoveries about the world and themselves. She would be an excellent asset and resource to any future employer in the childcare and education industry as she truly enjoys positively guiding and touching the lives of young children! I know that she will be an asset as a Lehigh County Personal Assistant!”

“At the time Laura started as our Lehigh County Personal Assistant we had 3 children and we were expecting our fourth. She has helped the 4 girls grow and develop into mature, well-rounded young ladies. She even managed to adapt to the addition of 2 puppies to our household. She has made the life of a working parent much more manageable than rushing to make daycare pickups and worrying about what, and where the time was, to prepare healthy meals for them. Laura did a great job with preparing well-balanced breakfasts and lunches and dinners and even took into account a mothers food needs after a long day at the office. Not only was she an excellent nanny, but also a great chauffeur (taking away my initial concern of having someone other than me driving our young children) and a chef and a house manager keeping the house extremely clean and orderly. Laura was great at time management, and a big help in juggling the children's differing schedules, getting them to all their activities, in varying directions, on time. I would highly recommend Laura to anyone looking for a loving, caring super nanny.”
