The Maryland Nanny Assessment Process

The assessment process is one of the most important steps to providing you with the ideal Nanny! The first step is to fill out a detailed registration form, from there one of our Placement Counselors will contact you within 24 hours. Your ABC Placement Counselor will ask you many questions to get a thorough understanding of what you are looking for in a childcare provider, and she will create a detailed description regarding your preferences. Many specific fact-finding questions will be asked to ensure that we have a clear picture of what the role for your nanny will entail. Some of the questions that will be asked are: when you would like your nanny to begin working for you, the hours you will typically need your nanny, your age preference for the nanny, as well as your children’s current activity schedule. All of the information that we gather will be taken into consideration so that your placement counselor can provide you with a very personalized recommendation based on your unique requests. When one of our placement counselors are assigned to you, she will be the person who guides you throughout the entire process and she will be sure to keep you updated, informed, and will review with you all of the details of our services and fee structure.

After the initial assessment, and directly following your decision to start interviewing with potential candidates, your placement counselor will register your family in full. Once you are completely registered and the assessment has been completed, your counselor will begin canvassing your position. ABC Nanny Source typically places our Nannies within a 30-minute radius of their home, which means that you will be meeting with only local candidates in your area! We will narrow down our search by the experience level you requested and by any other specifications, so we are sure to find the ideal match for your family!Find a maryland Nanny!

The Nanny profiles that your Placement Counselor will send to you via e-mail will include a picture of the candidate, the amount of pay the nanny is requesting, their references that our agency has verified, the details of the verification and contact numbers in case you would like to contact the references as well. The nanny's electronic profile will also contain the description the candidate gave to why she has chosen become a nanny, a CPR certification, one year commitment pledge, and electronic fingerprints! Your Placement Counselor will schedule a face-to-face interview to take place between you and the candidates, based on your availability. Once you have become registered it does not take long at all for you to start interviewing. In fact, you typically can start to meet with candidates within just a few days!
