"Hi!  I come from a large, loving family--20 nieces and nephews from just 3 sisters (!)--and have over 20 years of experience working with children.  It all started when I became an aunt for the first time at the age of 12 and would help take care of my nephew.  Then, by the time I got to high school (2 more nephews and 1 niece later), I would help my older sister with her pre-school aged Sunday school class.  Before long, I was teaching the class on my own, and, by the time I entered college, I knew I wanted to study education.  So, I graduated summa cum laud, with a BS in elementary education and mathematics.  Over the years, I have worked with all ages, from infants to high school students.  I've been a substitute teacher, private tutor, as well as a kindergarten and pre-school teacher.  I've worked in day care and taught children's drama classes and Gymboree Play and Music classes.  While living in the NY and Cincinnati areas, I did a lot of in-home childcare for several families with children of all ages.  My favorite job that I've ever had, though, was my first job after college, which was a nanny position.  I would love to get back into the nanny profession and am looking for a family who will appreciate my sense of fun and creativity.  I also have an acting/performance background, which means I love pretending, dancing, and singing, and will be very interactive in caring for your child or children.  I never just watch from the sidelines!
