Many of our nannies like Katie have fabulous educational backgrounds from working at a Cape May County After School Program or School, and are perfect for a learning-focused family who want to continue their children’s education even outside of school!

As an individual, I am a compassionate, honest and caring individual who is devoted to making a difference in children’s lives. I would be a perfect candidate for this position because I strive to be the best that I can and have a passion and a lifetime goal for teaching and being a mentor for kids. With my work in the school district and with a Cape May County After School Program, I have a wide range of experience. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I feel the nanny position would be an excellent way for me to gain more experience in the childcare field, while allowing me to still do what I love to do; work with children!. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 6 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are the keys to a brighter future. In order to mature into responsible citizens they need to be treated with the utmost respect, care and love. I hope to plan fun and creative activities that the child would enjoy. I am very flexible and would be open to performing light cleaning responsibilities my family would need. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am caring, conscientious, responsible, creative and respectful. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include art activities, attend community events and programs, have play time and rest time. As a certified art teacher I would love to plan art activities that include painting and other art related projects. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be easy going but also active and supportive in their child’s life. I would also hope they would be supportive of my role as a care taker in their child’s life."

“I had the pleasure of working with Katie as her mentor teacher during her student teaching and I am continually impressed with her passion and pursuit of the Arts in education. I have personally witnessed her work on academic and extracurricular projects and have collaborated with Ms. Fields on several lessons; it is through this work that I have come to admire the maturity that Katie continually shows while working to learn and apply new things. Karie is very comfortable in front of students in the classroom and has a firm grasp of classroom management. During lessons, Katie makes lessons meaningful and interesting and works tirelessly to ensure all students are active learners. One of her strengths is that Katie is acutely aware of her own development as a teacher and she is always looking to better herself and her delivery by being open to suggestions and constructive criticism. All of these experiences, coupled with her hunger to implement technology in her lessons and her passion for the Arts make Katie an excellent candidate for any position. Therefore it with great pleasure that I write this recommendation on behalf of Katie. She will be fantastic at no matter what she does, whether it is as a Cape May County After School Program, a school district, or working as a nanny for an individual family “

“She has taken care of my three children over the years from the time they were infants on. I have a daughter and identical twin boys. My daughter is only two and a half years older than my sons, so watching all three children was not an easy undertaking, but Ashley was terrific with them at all times! My children loved having her care for them! Katie is responsible, honest, and diligent in her work ethic and would be an asset to any family who is looking for someone who has worked at an Cape May County After School Program!”

“Katie began caring for our two-year-old son three years ago. Katie has proven to be punctual, interacts positively with our children, and follows through with the instructions we provide in terms of meals and bedtime routine. Katie is conscientious of our son’s multiple food allergies and effectively administered an antihistamine when required. She cleans up following dinner on her own accord. Katie is comfortable conversing with my husband and me and has demonstrated consistent maturity of someone beyond her age. She remains calm under pressure and communicates effectively. She has adapted easily to caring for our now five-year-old son and eighteen-month-old daughter. Her experience working in a Cape May County After School Program, as well as her experience with childcare, makes her an ideal nanny. I fully support Katie’s aspiration to become a nanny and recommend her to your Cape May Nanny Agency without hesitation.”
