Concerned about how to make sure your children get the best care while they aren’t in school over the summer? A Cape May County Summer Nanny like Alyssa is exactly what you need to keep your mind at ease.

“I have a hunger for life and all it has to offer! I hope in the future to be able to be someone who not only works with children, but makes a difference. I believe I should use my skills and what I have to offer to better the youth and improve their lives. I love being outdoors, the beach, snowboarding, hiking, animals, traveling, and yoga. I would like to be a nanny because I enjoy being with children. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because it allows me to provide secure childcare for children, help them to grow and learn in a smaller group setting where they can receive lots of attention, and it also allows for myself to develop a strong bond with the children. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 2 years and can honestly say I adore what I do! I feel the children are imaginative and curious and keep me on my toes and laughing! I enjoy children for who they are, and who they want to be. My goal as a Cape May County Summer Nanny is to keep the children safe and active, through both play and education. I would like to keep the children engaged in whatever they are doing. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes laundry, dishes, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and anything similar. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am energetic, nurturing, considerate, responsible, and attentive. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include activities outside, such as swimming, trips to the playground, catching butterflies, having a picnic or outdoor games! For poor weather I would plan for the movies, library, or aquarium! Really the possibilities are endless! If asked to describe the perfect family for a Nanny like me I would hope they would be positive and friendly!”

“Alyssa was employed by us in our home as a Nanny for our twin sons for approximately one year. We would strongly recommend Alyssa for the position of a Nanny with another family! We had the opportunity to observe her abilities with our children from infancy until the toddler stage. Alyssa is an energetic, highly competent, intelligent, conscientious, and organized woman, who takes her job seriously. She is not a babysitter; she is a professional. We never doubted that Alyssa spent all her time focused on caring for our children. She spent a lot of time talking, singing and playing with our children. She gives lots of hugs and kisses and truly cares about our children! Alyssa seems happiest and most relaxed with children. Our children were always happy to see her in the morning! On most days, (weather permitting), she would take the boys out to the park, where they could be exposed to other children. When they were older, she took them to a weekly story hour at the public library. Going on outings with highly active twins is not an easy task, but Alyssa never shied away from it, and had extremely creative ideas on how to make it more enjoyable for them! She adhered to a schedule, and kept written charts on how much they ate, when they ate, when they napped, their mood, etc. If the children were sick, because of her nursing background, she knew how to care for them. When my children were infants, she also bathed them daily and taught us how to help them to enjoy their bath time! She provided us with an oral evaluation daily of how the day went; this is extremely important to people who work! She also encourages feedback from her employers. During the time she worked for us, Alyssa was never late once! Alyssa is an extremely neat and organized person. Our children were always spotless! Their cribs were changed even more frequently than requested; their bedroom and playroom were straightened daily, and their wash done daily. Although Alyssa was not hired to perform housekeeping, but when the babies were sleeping, rather than relaxing she would try to help me out by cleaning or doing other household tasks. When we returned from work, the house was always immaculate, and the evening bottles were made! Whether you’re hiring her to be your Cape May County Summer Nanny, or you plan on keeping her for years and years, hiring her will be the best decision you ever make.”

“We have employed Alyssa as a caregiver for our children. Initially, she provided care for our oldest daughter, but she also provided care to our other 2 children from birth. We found Alyssa very capable of working 12-hour days and keeping the environment for our first daughter stimulating. Alyssa would provide morning and afternoon telephone reports to both of us on a daily basis explaining what the baby ate, bowel movements and any other pertinent items. On her own initiative, Alyssa began taking our daughter to the morning story hours at the local libraries several days each week. She took Madelaine to Gymboree class and other activities daily. At each of the classes/activities, Alyssa always participated with the children whether she was on the floor in Gymboree or clapping and singing with the children at music class! Her introduction to the library four or more days per week has had the most dramatic impact on our children! She insists they greet and thank each storyteller upon arrival and at the close of the visit. The children have demonstrated a great interest in books and reading, which Alyssa has encouraged. As our first child went to preschool three mornings a week, Alyssa concentrated on the themes being learned in the classroom, in advance, and borrowed books on the same topics. This demonstrated that Alyssa was actively communicating with Madelaine’s teachers to know the next topics and then made sure the materials were age appropriate. In addition to Alyssa stressing the importance of education, she also was very strict with neatness and order. She made sure the children had a place to write, draw, color and paint. She is also diligent and reliable! She arrived at work promptly each day and would come in early or sty late when we asked. The children were also never late to activities or school. She provided a great deal of love and nurturing to all of the children and they became very attached to her! Overall, Alyssa has been an exceptional caregiver that we would recommend her for a Cape May County Summer Nanny position!”

“She has been caring for my two of my children, Christian and Chelsy, since they were four years old up until very recently. Alyssa is bright, reliable, and affectionate. She is also well versed in child development, both due to her knowledge in child development and a natural affinity toward children! She relates to our son and daughter in such a delightful way, turning practically everything into a fun game. We feel fortunate to have had Alyssa in our home. We are convinced that our son and daughter owe much of their positive development to her presence. Her approach to caring for our children in every aspect has made a difference in such a positive matter in my children’s life! Hire her as your Cape May County Summer Nanny and you will not regret it!”
