"I am a very up beat, happy person who loves to work with children! My goals as a nanny are to provide a stimulating, entertaining, educational, and engaging environment for the children I will be working with. I strive to come up with new and exciting activities for the children to do. As a nanny, I don't want the children to be bored and sit in front of the TV/computer all day. I am a big advocate of playing outside and of reading books rather than watching TV...especially when it is beautiful outside! If the children are school-aged, a goal of mine would be to do my best to help them with their homework and with any school questions as neededI want to be a nanny because I want to be a positive influence in the lives of children. Also, I want to be the person a parent feels very comfortable entrusting the care of their children to. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include: age-appropriate crafts, games, and educational activities such as reading and science "experiments" (my personal favorite is green gak made with corn starch, water, and green coloring). As a way to encourage reading, I also like to pick a book series or chapter book and reading a chapter/section each day or week. That way the children are allowed to pick a book they are interested in and can hear it read to them. And, I do try my best to imitate any appropriate voices! They would be fun-loving yet serious and would be able to trust me, or someone like me, with their children. The children would be willing to have fun and just be kids!”
