The Massachusetts Nanny Assessment Process

Finding the “right” nanny for your family relies heavily on our assessment process!

The family registration questionnaire is step one—filling this out will notify a counselor that you of your interest and they will contact you within just 24 hours. A number of topics and questions will be discussed in order to procure an accurate and detailed description of the position you’d like to be filled. Details like the child(ren)’s current activity schedule, any preference for the nanny’s age, typical hours needed, and the nanny’s start date. Your Placement Counselor will likely work with you throughout the entire process and will also take time to review the details of our services and fee structure.

After the assessment, your counselor will compile all the information they gained and fully register your family. They will then share the detailed Nanny Employment description with a team to begin the search. We do all we can to match ABC nannies with families who live 30 minutes or less from their home, meaning you will only meet with very local caregivers. The list will be further narrowed in order to meat any and all requests your family may have specified.

The candidates we pick out for you to choose from will be contacted, and their individual and detailed profiles will be sent your way. We will also send a customized offer of employment for you to look over and modify further as you see fit.

Each nanny’s profile includes a picture of the candidate, a personal statement regarding her choice to become a professional nanny, all verified references, a copy of their valid CPR Certification, results of their Identity Verification, and even their One Year Commitment Pledge!

At this point, practically everything you need to know about the candidates will have been provided to you. Each nanny you are considering will be put on hold just for you until you have had the time to review and compare. Families can often look forward to receiving the candidates’ profiles within a matter of days!
