Since his birth, my husband and I needed a little alone time as well as some help around the house, so my girlfriend recommended Christina. She referred her to me since Christina has had plenty of experience with newborn care as well as house work. She has surpassed my expectations above and beyond in every aspect. She is always early, and my son is always clean, dry, fed and happy when we come home. In addition, our house is always tidy and clean, so coming home to a messy house has never been an issue. “Our family has known Christina for almost thirteen years. When we first met she was operating a childcare business out of her family home. My oldest son was then 18 months, and my second son, 4 months. We routinely engaged Christina to care for our children at night and on weekends. Because I was, at that point, staying home with my children I did not require full-time care but would frequently leave the boys in Christina’s care at her home when I had business to attend to. Subsequently, we had a third son and at the same time Christina’s work situation changed. For a period of more than three years (or until he started preschool) Christina cared for our youngest son in our home one or two days a week. She continues to care for the boys at night and on weekends when we request her to do so, and all three of my sons are extremely fond of her. Christina has many qualities to recommend her for. The one that first comes to mind is her work ethic; she is one of the hardest working individuals I have ever known, is always punctual, and takes her responsibilities seriously. She is also quick to recognize issues when they arise and initiates consultation with us when she feels that it is necessary. She is interested in stimulating children intellectually and creatively and greatly enjoyed taking our boys on library and other outings and would frequently arrive with books and other activities she thought they would enjoy. While we did not engage her to perform housework she was always willing (and often offered) to perform other household tasks. On a more pragmatic level, she is wholeheartedly an honest and responsible individual. I never had the least bit of concern entrusting my children to her care, including having her transport them by car when it was necessary. She is also a very loving person and I have never doubted the affection she feels for my own children and others that she has cared for. They, of course, return that feeling.
