"I am a very energetic and outgoing person with strong morals and values! I have been attending college for a year and it is my main goal to graduate with a degree. My family and I have always been very close and they are supportive in everything I do. I am currently engaged and plan to get married. I have wanted to be a nanny for a while because I love working with children of all ages. Ever since I can remember I have been told I have good motherly qualities. I love being around children! I have been serving in some form of childcare for over eight years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel children are fun, loving, innocent, pure and exciting. My goal as a Nanny is to provide the best environment for both the children and parents and to give my help and love. "I am currently an elementary teacher in an emotionally disturbed school. I have worked various summer camps, after school programs, and tutoring positions. Therefore, my love for child exceeds the common applicant. I am comfortable around special needs children and feel that I would be an asset to any family. "I was fortunate enough to have grown up in a very loving home with two parents and a sister. I couldn't have asked for better parents! My mother is a creative woman and has dedicated her life to making our house feel like a home. She has passed her creativity on to me, and I love using it! Some of my hobbies include knitting and gardening. I graduated from College with a degree in Sociology. I decided too late in the game that I wanted to be an elementary school teacher, so I decided that I would attend graduate school once I earned enough money. I worked at a preschool for a couple of months and am currently a manager at a retail store. I am not enjoying this job very much because it conflicts with my personality. I am a warm, loving and nurturing person, and the job makes me feel like these qualities in me cannot come out, if that makes any sense. I would like to be a nanny because I love children and feel that my personality is well suited for taking care of children. I was a volunteer camp counselor at a Muscular Dystrophy summer camp. During this time, I was paired one on one with a 6 year old boy with muscular dystrophy and was responsible for meeting all of his daily needs. Over the years, I have assisted with church childcare, been a counselor for vacation Bible school, and worked with the youth group. When the head teacher of a preschool class was on maternity leave, I was asked to fill in for her. Before this, I was called in for substitute teaching when needed. My goal as a Nanny is to provide the children with a nurturing environment. I am also willing to do housekeeping that includes cooking, dusting, vacuuming, washing dishes, and children’s laundry.
