I'm Kylee, and I’m going to tell you a little bit about who I am, and why I love being a nanny.  I'm 22 years old and I'm from Portland, Oregon...actually, I'm still in Portland but I will be moving to Philadelphia soon!  I've been working with children in some form of childcare for about 10 years.  I've worked with children ranging from newborn through high school age kids.  I absolutely love working with children, it's truly my passion to be able to watch them learn and grow and be a part of that process.  I believe it's important for children of all ages to be exposed to cultures and life experiences outside their own, through the arts and other stimulating, hands on activities.  I understand that each child is an individual and because of that, I make it one of my goals to provide an environment where they can grow and explore at their own pace.  Although I know consistency from the adults in a child's life is very important, I never miss an opportunity to let life teach us when it presents itself.  Sometimes the best learning experiences aren't the ones you plan!  While my focus is on your child or children, I also know the importance of open communication with you, the parents.  I think a wonderful pairing of nanny and family can be ruined if there isn't constant, open-minded communication between the two.  I love telling parents the funny or cute things that went on in our day, as well as where I think each child stands with regards to any goals that the kids and I are working towards.
