 Can I trust the Harrisburg Nanny and caregiver that ABC Nanny Source sends?
We take every conceivable measure to ensure that each candidate that ABC presents to you is the safest and most qualified Harrisburg Nanny! We completely understand that you wouldn’t invite just anyone into your home. Our extensive 10 Step Screening Process includes criminal background investigations, 5 panel drug test done through Quest Diagnostics, Social Security Trace, driving record checks, reference verification, and Electronic Fingerprinting.
Are you a locally owned business?
Yes. We are a locally owned and operated business, which allows us to require each and every candidate to come to our office before obtaining a position.
Do all ABC Nannies speak English?
Yes. All of our Nannies are required to be able to read, write and speak English. If you are more comfortable with a Nanny that also speaks a different language, just let us know! We have many candidates who are multi-lingual.
How do you match the “right” Nanny with the “right’ family?
We take great care when matching families and nannies. Many different factors are considered when trying to find the right match. We start by narrowing down the search to the candidates who live within a 30-minute radius of your home. Each Nanny that you consider will be very local and very familiar with your area. Next, we ensure that each of those candidates is extremely comfortable with each aspect of your position. We will not send you anyone who is not completely confident in their abilities to fulfill your specific needs and requests.
For example, if you have an infant, we will definitely only send you candidates who have previous infant experience and feel completely comfortable working with that age!
After we have established which nannies are close to your home, and are comfortable with your children, we then examine salary/hourly rate requests. We make every effort to match nannies with families in the same pay request range. You can also most certainly provide specific details about the “type” of nanny that you are seeking (for example – energetic, religious, loving, professional etc.) and we will make every effort to try and match all of the criteria. Using all of this information, we will only send you the nannies that most closely match the requests you provided.
The last factor we take into consideration is any allergies our nannies may have that could interfere with their position if your family has any pets. We spend a great deal of time matching the “perfect” candidate with the “perfect” family, allowing us to provide the results you desire!
When are ABC Nanny Services Available?
ABC Nannies are available for full time live out, part time live out, or live in care. The agency office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30am to 5:00pm.
 Why is ABC Nanny Source better than hiring someone privately from the newspaper?
It is an unfortunate fact that the state or local governments do not require private individuals to adhere to any standards where childcare is concerned. We require each of our candidates to meet several different requirements in order to be an ABC Harrisburg Nanny. Each Nanny has passed a comprehensive criminal background check, social security trace, driving motor vehicle report, 5 panel drug test, reference verification, electronic fingerprinting and extensive face to face interviews. We also promise to work diligently to replace your Nanny if for some reason the Nanny you hire does not work out. Another wonderful benefit of utilizing our agency is our database of temporary Nannies at your disposal in the event that your nanny is sick or needs time off.
Is there a minimum number of hours our Nanny can work for us?
Yes, our part time Nannies require a minimum of 25 hours per week.
How much do your services cost?
ABC Nanny Source requests a non-refundable registration fee of $150 in order become registered and start interviewing candidates. This fee is fully credited to your placement fee once your perfect nanny has been placed. You can expect to start interviewing potential candidates within 2 to 4 days after registration.
Our one time placement fee is billed to you after we have provided a qualified Nanny that you are pleased with.
Part Time Nannies working between 25-30 hours per week are provided at a fee of 14% of the Nannies anticipated gross salary with a minimum of $1800.
Full Time Nannies working between 40 – 50+ hours per week are provided at a fee of 12% of the Nanny’s anticipated gross salary with a minimum of $2400.
Each permanent placement comes with a ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE
Your family also receives one full year access to our database of temporary and on call nannies in the event that your permanent nanny is unavailable. You never have to be concerned about being without childcare.
 Do you provide live-in help?
Yes. ABC Nanny Source specializes in Nannies from the local community, rather than out of the country, that are available for live-in or live-out positions.
Our family has a dog that needs to be taken for walks several times a day. Can a Nanny help with this while our children are at school?
Absolutely! Pets are as much a part of our families as our children are, and most nannies are more than willing to care for your pets as well while they are on duty!
How do you bill for services?
The one time placement fee and registration can conveniently be billed to your Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover card.
Who are ABC Nannies?
There are several factors that contribute to the selection of our Nannies. We only accept 20% of the hundreds of applicants who are interested in becoming an ABC Nanny. Each nanny comes from the local community, has a tremendous amount of previous childcare experience, and must pass our extremely extensive 10 Step Screening Process. We want to offer our families only the most qualified Nannies from which to choose.
