ABC Nanny Source is proud to represent Mary as one of our Bergen County NJ Nannies who has commendable confidence and creativity and has a wonderful background in teaching!

I would like to be a Nanny because working with children has always been my true passion. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I know I can be a positive influence and role model for children of any age. I am ready to devote 100% of my energy and effort to children and families. I feel the children are the future. They should be cherished, nurtured, loved, and cared for in the most positive way possible. My goal as a Nanny is to make a difference in the lives of children and to teach them that anything is possible with a little determination. I will inspire and encourage each and every child under my care. I am willing to do housekeeping at the families’ requests that includes cooking, cleaning, and laundry. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am dedicated, kind, reliable, determined, and optimistic. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include spending time outside (going for walks, playing at the park), educational activities through play, board games, pretend play, and arts and crafts. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be a family with a balanced structure and parents who are equally committed to one another and their children."

“I am speaking for both the children and myself when I say that we are definitely going to miss Mary when she leaves us. Working with her these past couple of weeks has been a very positive and rewarding experience. She has demonstrated all of the personal and professional competencies of a successful teacher. She is extremely self-motivated, well organized, flexible, and patient. In focusing on her objectives as well as the outcomes of her lessons she makes sure that each student is actively engaged and is enjoying what she is teaching. Her instructional style is geared towards all types of learners by making the learning process fun and exciting. She is not afraid of taking risks by trying different strategies and hands-on activities to really involve the students in what they are learning. She has developed an excellent rapport with the students because her kind, caring, and sincere attitude. I’m sure that she will be among the best of ABC’s Bergen County NJ Nannies!

“Mary worked with my 5th grade class. Several other teachers who worked with her remembered her positively, as well. Mary Lynn entered our classroom and made herself at home. Mary Lynn's desire to learn as much as possible was remarkable. She never rejected the chance to try something new. Her activities in my classroom reached far beyond the college curriculum. She welcomed every chance to teach a lesson. She taught solid grammar, math, and science lessons. During the little down time that she had, she reorganized my classroom library by genre. As I compose this letter I recall two words that I used regularly when speaking of Mary Lynn: creative and confident. Mary Lynn is one of those pre-service teachers who have abundant natural talent, energy, intelligence, and confidence. All of these essential traits can only be enhanced with experience. I looked forward to working with Mary Lynn each day. Her energy, creativity, and desire to learn and teach enhanced our learning environment. I’m sure that she will do well as one of ABC’s Bergen County NJ Nannies!”

“ I have full confidence that any family who has the good fortune to know her will instantly recognize her inner strengths and confidence, and be put at ease by her genuine kindness and her comfortable nature with people of all ages. She has an innate ability to connect with children that is truly heartwarming to watch. Knowing that during the times I cannot be home with my children, they are in such gentle, responsible, and safe hands has been a gift and honor to have these last few years. The evidence of her love of children and of teaching is clear in seeing the interactions she has with kids but also by being in tune to the impact she has on them even when she is not with them. After spending a day with her, my older daughter often directly tells me of the fun that they had together and I can see evidence of art projects they worked on together and of the play that has been engaging them in a balanced and healthy way throughout the day. What both of my children communicate to me indirectly is that they feel safe and comfortable with Mary, and that they quickly have grown to love and trust her. They both beam at the mention of an upcoming visit with her, and they both easily say goodbye to me when it’s time for me to leave home. Mary quickly earns the respect of children by getting down on their level with them and taking an honest interest in getting to know who they are as individuals. She has a keen sense of understanding of what kids’ needs are and has always risen over and above my expectations of meeting them on a regular basis. She will listen to and follow any instructions I leave with her, and will take initiative to cover any bases she recognizes need addressed without being asked, which has been a much appreciated asset in her work with us. This is Mary’s approach in all she does – and it defines her competent and trustworthy work ethic that is essential for anyone in this line of work. She continues to amaze us with her grace and intelligence, and her overall commitment to her responsibilities. She is not only a fabulous caregiver; she is a role model worth having in your child’s life. She has enriched our lives and has been one of the family in more ways than ever before through her work with us. I wish her the best and will miss having her closer by this year! She will do well as one of your agency’s Bergen County NJ Nannies!”
