“I am upbeat, loving and understanding and I love working with children. I have three older brothers and at one point or another I have watched their children while they at work. I have chosen to become a Laurelhurst Before School Nanny because I have realized that this is my calling, I’ve had other jobs, but I realized that this is my passion; taking care of children, helping them and their families by keeping them safe and busy learning something new every day. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the nanny profession over any other, it would have to be because I enjoy being around children and watching them learn. I feel children are amazingly smart and can learn so much. My goal as a nanny is to become someone they can trust, take good care of them, have fun and teach them through books and games. I am willing to do light housekeeping at the family’s request. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am Patient, fun, compassionate, kind and firm. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include reading books, educational games, free time, nap time and healthy meal planning.”
