“I am an incredibly motivated and hard-working individual with a high energy and enthusiastic demeanor! I thrive when I'm active and embracing the great outdoors. My passion for working with children and my belief in the value I can bring to a family is what drives me to pursue a career as a nanny. If I had to summarize why I chose this profession over any other, it would be because I genuinely enjoy interacting with children and engaging in active pursuits with them. With over 8 years of childcare experience, including working at the Hanover County After School Program, I can confidently say that I love what I do! The children I work with are open-minded, ready to learn, filled with excitement, fun, and innocence. As a nanny, my goal is to provide a safe environment, educate the children, and create an enjoyable experience for them. I am more than willing to assist with housekeeping tasks such as cooking, cleaning, pet care, and laundry. If I had to describe myself using five adjectives, I would say I am trustworthy, reliable, active, easy-going, and kind. In terms of daily activities, I believe incorporating exercise, educational pursuits, and outdoor time on nice days would be beneficial for the family I care for. The perfect family for me would be one with strong morals and standards, effective communication skills, and a shared love for an active lifestyle.”

“As a fellow teacher and coworker at the Hanover County After School Program, I had the pleasure of knowing Dianna. I must say, she has done an exceptional job with these classes, ensuring a smooth transition for the students. Let me share my observations of her teaching. Dianna's teaching skills are truly commendable. She demonstrates a high level of subject knowledge and is capable of adapting her teaching style to cater to the diverse needs of the students. Inside the classroom, Dianna displays a firm grasp of classroom management techniques and effectively utilizes a variety of strategies. She establishes herself as an authority figure, earning the respect of her students, and maintains a professional rapport with them. What stands out about Dianna is her relaxed approach, which quickly gains the acceptance of the students. They feel comfortable opening up to her and see her as their teacher. Dianna's lessons incorporate an array of teaching techniques, and she exudes confidence in their implementation. She demonstrates a remarkable ability to adjust her lessons and teaching methods to accommodate the diverse learning population in each class, resulting in great success. Not only is Dianna tactful and courteous when dealing with her students, parents, and peers, but she also genuinely cares for her students and readily invests extra time and effort to help them achieve their goals. Throughout her time at our High School, Dianna has shown tremendous growth as a teacher. On a personal level, Dianna is a pleasure to work with, and I have complete confidence that everything is in order and taken care of when I come in to teach on my assigned days. With all the qualities mentioned above, both my own and the students' transition has been exceptionally smooth. I firmly believe that Dianna's hard work and incredible personality will undoubtedly make her thrive as a teacher in the future.”

“Diana seamlessly filled an unfilled position in our Hanover County After School Program when a teacher accepted a position in another district. Immediately, she familiarized herself with the curriculum, students' backgrounds, learning needs, and the staff. She not only augmented the existing curriculum with activities and authentic assessments, but also made sure our students became fully immersed in their learning. As the coordinator, part of my responsibilities include organizing a staff of about 15, keeping them updated with school developments, conducting professional development activities, and meeting professional responsibilities. Diana never posed a problem in this area. She always attended, arrived on time, and came prepared for everything that was asked of her. She willingly volunteered for tasks such as open house and SLC activities. Moreover, her classroom management skills are exceptional. Students admire her open and engaging style of interaction while she maintains a professional boundary. Apart from her teaching duties, Diana also contributed her time as an assistant coach for our school's Swim Team, frequently chaperoned school dances and events, participated in the Hanover County After School Program, and regularly attended student sporting events. Her enthusiasm for her job and genuine care for students' well-being are evident, creating a safe environment where students willingly strive to meet her expectations. Losing Diana as part of our staff will be a great loss for us, but anyone else who has the opportunity to hire her will experience a significant gain.”

“When I think of Dianna in relation to the Hanover County After School Program, the words team player, open-minded, helpful, and professional immediately come to mind. Dianna consistently displayed her willingness to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed. I particularly appreciated her active involvement in conflict resolution sessions, where she played a valuable role in facilitating productive discussions and redirecting students to the appropriate staff members when necessary. Dianna's sincere dedication to helping students achieve their best work was evident in her diligent efforts to work closely with them and help them reach their full potential. Furthermore, her laid-back demeanor created a comfortable atmosphere for students to approach her and engage in meaningful conversations. Dianna's innovative and engaging lessons in Social Studies not only stimulated her students but also retained their interest throughout the learning process. It has been a pleasure working with Dianna this school year, and I highly recommend her for any future opportunities.”
