ABC represents Nannies that have great experience from working at a Sussex County After School Program like Amy.

"I am a warm and down-to-earth person! If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I love children! I have been serving in some form of childcare for over ten years, including experience at a Sussex County After School Program, and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are fascinating, fun, and interesting. They remind me of what is really important in life. My goal as a Nanny is to provide families with top-notch childcare. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes dishes, vacuuming, meal preparation, grocery shopping, and laundry. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives, I would say that I am gregarious, intelligent, conscientious, warm, and creative. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include trips to the park or playground, excursions to the library, and lots of reading and crafts! If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be considerate!"

“Amy is an excellent childcare provider! She is always available when I need her! She takes the children to the park, library and encourages them to use their imagination. Her patience is a true asset as well! What I like most about Amy is she is very honest and makes sure she verbally conveys how the day went at the Sussex County After School Program each day to keep parents aware. Her environment is always nice and clean without clutter. I enjoy Amy both as person and childcare provider because I know whenever I have my children in her presence she will treat them excellent and use her own knowledge to make my day at work easier!”

“Amy is a very good person and she has been the first person I would call outside of our immediate family for any extended or last minute childcare needs! I have known Amy for approximately seven years. In those seven years, I have seen her in action in numerous capacities in our community. I chose Amy to care for my son when I went back to work because I had talked to other parents in the neighborhood and everybody I talked to only had good things to say about her! My freelance work schedule was sporadic. Sometimes I needed Amy to watch my son for only a few days (for a few hours) and other times I needed her to care for him daily for several months. Amy was always accommodating to my fluctuating schedule. My son was happy to be with her and I knew that he was going to be safe and have a good time in her care whether there were other children there or not. Amy’s background in education was a plus! I could see that she understood children and had a sincere interest in knowing each child she cared for. Beyond that, she was always respectful to my requests regarding naptime routines and meals. She often provided my son with a healthy lunch and snacks. I have to also mention here that he never left her house with a full diaper or a dirty face. Amy is a caring person with an easy laugh, but she is no pushover. She sets good boundaries and has found a great balance because she also knows how to have fun. As you can see, I could keep on going about what a solid person Amy is! Throughout these years she has proved to be a valuable resource to me!”

“Amy was everything we could have asked for in a child care provider! The difficult task of leaving our first born to go to work was made easier knowing that he was in Amy’s care. She was empathetic and caring, and worked hard to meet the needs of both parents and child! She went out of her way to provide detailed information on the day’s happenings, and to inform us of our son’s activities. We feel she did more than offer care; she provided an enriched environment, doing projects, taking walks and visiting museums, libraries and parks. She came up with great activities that she had done before at her job working at a Sussex County After School Program. She was also able to provide special medical attention to our son who suffers from asthma. She monitored his breathing, and administered nebulizer treatments if needed. We were so pleased with Amy’s care giving, that when our daughter was born, we did not hesitate to ask Amy to care for her! She fulfilled our childcare expectations! She was reliable, and accommodating to fluctuations in our needs and schedules. She was an experienced mother who was happy to provide care, and to share her knowledge with us!”

“As a new mother returning to work, I was very concerned about my daughter’s care. Amy was there for us 100%! She was very good about communicating the details of Lizzie’s day to us. I also appreciated her ability to work with us on establishing our daughter's eating and sleeping schedule. Amy took her for walks every day and made things fun! Amy is a lovely responsible woman with a heart of gold and great experience from a Sussex County After School Program. Your family would be lucky to get her!”

“I met through a library club where we both have worked on many activities and programs with a focus on children’s programs. She is a hard-working woman who always has the best interests of children at the forefront! She interacts well with children and is very conscientious in any job she undertakes. She has great experience from the Sussex County After School Program that she worked for as well. Amy has a good rapport with children and is very friendly and outgoing. Amy would make a great Nanny for your family!”
