Cumberland County Nanny Rachael has flexibility and a nurturing personality that is welcome at ABC's Camp Hill Nanny Agency!

“I am a nurturing, patient, kind individual who loves children! I am very flexible, creative, and punctual! I want to continue working as a professional nanny because I feel that it is my calling in life. I cannot think of a better career than nurturing, teaching, and playing with children all day! I love my profession as a nanny and it is so much more than a job to me. I believe that my career choice is so special because it allows me to help children grow emotionally, physically, socially, and cognitively. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I love being an important part of a child’s growth and development and I value the bonds that I form with the children and their families. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over twelve years and can honestly say I LOVE what I do! I feel the children are special! They need to be treated with love and respect and valued for their opinions and thoughts. My goal as a Cumberland County Nanny is to ensure that the children are safe and loved. I want to provide ample opportunities for learning, creativity, and play. I also want to be a part of the family and hope to work for families that I can maintain relationships with even after the position is over. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes the children’s laundry, transportation to various appointments, help with errands or grocery shopping, household management, organizing playrooms, and helping to keep bedrooms tidy. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am honest, creative, patient, nurturing, and reliable. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include reading, singing, puzzles, imaginative play, art, outside time, baking/cooking with children, play dates, and field trips to local parks, zoos, or farms. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would want me to be a part of the family, and I would hope they would be honest and kind!”

“It is with great pleasure that I recommend Racheal. I have known her for four years. She has been the primary caregiver to my two children, currently ages 6 and 3 since we hired her through a Camp Hill Nanny Agency. Racheal has always displayed a high degree of integrity, responsibility, and passion for her work! She is definitely someone who you can trust and consider a partner when making decisions regarding your children. Racheal is organized, responsive, and dependable! She has proven herself to be a friend and loving parental extension to our children. You can assume good judgment and a mature outlook. She brings a logical and practical approach to her management of activities, household budget, and negotiation with toddlers. Racheal's responsibilities included full time care of the children, management of activities/lessons, coordination of play dates and school projects, as well as household management: food shopping, children's laundry, doctor appointments and associated errands. Having been with us four years, Racheal had to create an environment that evolved with our children's development. She ensured that they participated in age appropriate activities. She independently worked with them on numbers, letters, early reading, patterns and math concepts. She enjoyed developing art projects and a love of creativity and experiential learning for both of our children. Racheal was entrusted with transportation responsibility and she utilized this to plan educational trips to the zoo, parks, orchards, and other local opportunities. Racheal would be an asset to any family, and I am happy to give her my wholehearted endorsement to be a Cumberland County Nanny.”

“I found Racheal to be an excellent helper in many ways. She was open and friendly with all the children and staff with whom she interacted. She has a good knowledge of child development and an understanding of different behavioral issues with young children. Racheal showed patience and caring when dealing with difficult behavior- as we sometimes see with two year olds! Racheal was not afraid to play with the children. She knew how to draw them into activities and encourage involvement, even when they were feeling hesitant. The children also genuinely liked Racheal, and were happy to follow her guidance and instructions. In comparison to other helpers, I found Racheal to be one of the best. Racheal was always willing to lend an extra hand if needed. She was always on time for class, and often was early and offered to help if I wanted it. She was a calm, capable presence in the classroom, and as a teacher, I very much appreciated that. I would not hesitate to recommend Racheal as a Cumberland County Nanny in a home setting.”

“I am writing this letter in support of Racheal as a candidate for your Cumberland County Nanny in the care of your child(ren). I have known Racheal for over a year. Racheal was a nanny for our two children for several months. During that time, she cared for another family the remaining 3 business days, maintaining the two part-time positions for an equivalent of full-time employment. Racheal left our family under the agreement that she would return to work full-time for the other family when the need arose, but she helped us look for a replacement, and agreed to staying on for the month while we looked for another nanny. Since, we have kept in touch, and Racheal continues to care for our children for us on weekends and evenings when needed. Racheal is responsible, trustworthy, fun, loving, respectful and completely engaged when with the children! She would work on an inventive art and craft EVERY DAY with my son, and still now EVERY TIME she cares for him, which is testament to her dedication in thinking strategically and constructively about the children's time! Racheal was able to juggle the great demands of caring for a toddler and infant with very different needs during a very long day, and was able to find time to complete additional tasks I'd ask of her (children's laundry, reorganization of toys). While we did not need Racheal to fulfill many household obligations such as grocery shopping, event planning, and appointment making/escorting, I know she does so for the other family she works for. Racheal possesses the ability to use sound judgment, and we trust her with the children! Racheal not only diligently reads all of our written notes we leave behind for her, but she asks thoughtful questions and she leaves us detailed notes in return. She possesses a keen insight into whether it is necessary to call us while at work or while out, erring on the side of caution and safety, which I appreciate. My children love Racheal, and are still quite comfortable with her despite their not seeing her regularly, which I think speaks to the strong relationship she builds with her "special kiddos", as she puts it. It is for these reasons and more that I hope you will consider Racheal as a caretaker for your family.”

“It is my pleasure to highly recommend Racheal for a position as a professional Cumberland County Nanny. Racheal worked for our family and cared for our 2 year old son, Will. It has been a very positive experience for us and our son. I make my recommendation without reservation. For us, Racheal's strengths are in three main areas. Taking initiative to research and plan activities - - Racheal is always looking for new and stimulating activities for Will. These activities have been varied and have ranged from visits to Linvilla Orchards to an outing at the Philadelphia car show after Will developed a keen interest in cars and trucks. Providing a stimulating and educational environment. Will never watches TV when Racheal is here. Racheal is a wonderful artist and engages Will in many art activities. They take many trips to the park but also spend time making posters with ABC's and numbers. Racheal prides herself on keeping up with age appropriate activities so that Will is never bored. She is also very knowledgeable about general child development issues and keeps updated on the subject. Providing a safe and nurturing environment - - Racheal has a kind and patient manner. She is extremely responsible and reliable and I never worried for a minute when Will was in her care. Racheal would be a great asset to your family!”

“I am writing this letter on behalf of Racheal. During the time that Racheal has cared for Gwen, she has effectively transitioned from a baby nanny (mixing bottles and making pureed food), to caring for an active and precocious pre-schooler. Racheal has introduced Gwen to playgroups and museums. She has taught her letters, numbers, and colors and she has provided the appropriate amount of structure to allow her to express herself! Rachel has helped Gwen get dressed in the morning, and every parent's dream - potty-train! She was an absolute wonderful Cumberland County Nanny. Racheal has introduced Gwen to countless clever art projects and other tactile tasks. She has always been forward thinking and takes the initiative to get Gwen engaged in new and exciting age-appropriate activities. As much as my husband and I like to joke that Gwen's advancement is due to good genes, we recognize that much has to do with Racheal's guidance and her ability to work with us, as parents, as a team player in Gwen's rearing. In addition to her regular schedule, Racheal has taken Gwen to the doctor's office for those important sick visits. She communicates with us well and relays the doctor's instructions clearly. Gwen is underweight and it is with same diligence that I would administer, Racheal has made necessary dietary adjustments for Gwen. She has made countless fattening shakes, supplemented cream and butter in cooking, and generally been creative in adding calories whenever possible. Not only have we felt completely comfortable with Gwen in Racheal's care, but we have also felt completely comfortable with Racheal in our home. She has proven to be dedicated, open, conscientious, trustworthy, and reliable. We have given her access to the family car and the given her authority to use our credit card for items for Gwen's care and activities. She has never violated our confidence! While it is with excitement that we look forward to Gwen entering school and the next stage in her life, it also with sadness that we reflect that Racheal will not be part of Gwen's everyday life. If I had an opportunity, I would re-hire Racheal, without hesitation or reservation!”

“I met Racheal when we both worked as a Cumberland County Nanny several years ago. Back then, our families lived a quarter of a mile apart from each other and we had frequent play dates with the children we were caring for. We would meet at her family's house, at mine, at the playground, the park, or run into each other at birthday parties. "My" children loved her! She was a real kid magnet. Due to her creativity, imagination, and real ease with the children, Racheal was a natural leader, someone the children would want to be around. Seeing her interact with kids was inspiring: Racheal was always patient and fair, great at explaining things in a way children can understand without cluttering it with too much information. All the children respected her greatly. I never so much as heard a 'no' uttered when she was around. Racheal was a gentle leader, but consistent, encouraging, and full of praise. Children feel safe with her. She always had an open ear for the children she cares for, was never preoccupied with other things, but taught them nevertheless to 'wait their tum' and be polite. Racheal instilled good manners through creative role play and modeling. She was the best nanny role model any child and their parents could ask for! She has a knack for getting things done, without neglecting the children. Her time management skills are excellent. Racheal is able to adapt to new situations and change of plans quickly and efficiently without making the children feel uneasy. Racheal was then, and still is, a big influence in my life! I frequently ask her for advice with child-related behavioral issues, training techniques (potty-training, bottle feeding, etc.) and overall child-related things. Any family would be lucky to have her!”
