Once each nanny arrived at my door, I was fully relaxed because I felt I already knew the person in front of me! That’s how detailed these profiles were. The process was made very easy for our family and within a matter of days, I hired the perfect nanny for our children!"

“I am a very creative and artistic person with a lot of energy! I am planning to go back to school part-time (at night) to become certified in elementary education in the spring of 2010. Since my mother is physically disabled, I have been helping take care of my brother since he was born when I was 12 years old. I also started babysitting for families in the neighborhood at this age. I was a nanny all through college (part time during the school year and full time during the summer). I currently watch the same children part time. Watching them learn and grow over the years and knowing that I have made a difference in their lives has been such a rewarding experience for me and I would love to have the chance to continue this career. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because being a positive influence and making an impact on a child’s life is very rewarding to me. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 12 years and can honestly say I absolutely love what I do! I feel the children are fun, imaginative and unique individuals that learn and grow in their own personal ways. My goal as a Nanny is to first and foremost, keep the children safe. Also, my goals are to work on the children’s fine and gross motor skills and also to give them as many imagination and learning experiences as possible. It is always my goal to keep the parents happy (by obeying their wishes when caring for the children) as well as the children. Lastly, it is always a goal to make sure the children have fun! I am willing to do housekeeping that includes dishes, straightening up, vacuuming, any other light housekeeping. I don’t mind housekeeping being part of my job and am very flexible with it. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am creative, energetic, optimistic, silly and personable. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include arts and crafts, story time, active outside activities, and homework (if needed). If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be a family who is enthusiastic, caring and has a positive outlook on life!”
“I grew up on the island of Jamaica in a family of three - my mother, older sister and myself. As a child, I always readily assumed responsibility and so many persons thought I was older than I was. Consequently, I was always asked to help adults with various tasks or to take care of younger children in the neighborhood. These opportunities were great character builders for me. I learned to be caring, and willing to participate in games, no matter how silly I might have to act. Perhaps this is where my love for children first took root and eventually influenced my decision to pursue early childhood education for my master’s degree. When the opportunity for me to migrate to the United States presented itself, it seemed a natural fit for me to work with children. As a nanny I would have the opportunity to work even more closely with children and to impact their lives even more greatly. I have always loved working with children and have so far found it to be very rewarding. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I love children and want to positively impact and enrich their lives. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for many years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are wonderful human beings! They are so full of life and want to learn and the best thing you can do as the caregiver is to provide a stimulating environment that enables them to grow and learn and thrive. My goal as a Nanny is to provide a meaningful impact on the social, emotional and intellectual life of children. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes upkeep of the children’s bedroom, play areas, laundry preparation, cooking meals and any task that revolves around the care of the children. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am hardworking, disciplined, honest, loyal, and caring. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include reading stories/books, homework help, outings to places of interest to children, arts and crafts or other stimulating activities etc. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be respectful of me and the work that I do. It is important that we work as a team and that no one tries to take advantage of the other. It is also important that we have good and open communication.”
