Are we obligated to employ the nanny we hire for a minimum of one year?

No. The Nanny and ABC Nanny Source bear the entire obligation. Your family is not obliged to maintain the salary or employment of the nanny if her services are no longer required. All ABC Nannies must commit to a one-year pledge, and the agency guarantees each family a year in the event that the hired nanny does not work out. However, your family is not obligated to continue her salary if you no longer need nanny services for reasons such as relocation, a parent's layoff, or a decision for the mother to stay at home. The fee for these nannies is 14% of their anticipated gross salary, with a minimum payment of $3400.
