Frequently Asked Questions

From registration to hiring, how much time does the usual process take?

The process will vary for each household. After evaluating three to five candidates, we have discovered that most families choose to hire a Nanny. Our goal is to offer ongoing support in order to help you find the perfect candidate for your family as efficiently as possible!

Hours of Operation?

You can reach out to the placement counselors at ABC Nanny Source during their office hours, which are from 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Is there a large availability of nannies?

We always have a wide selection of Nannies available for placement throughout the year. Nevertheless, there is a high demand for the exceptional quality Nannies we provide, and as a result, availability may sometimes be limited. We will never compromise our rigorous procedures just to have a larger pool of candidates to choose from. Our meticulous selection process sets our high caliber Nannies apart from the others in our industry!

We highly recommend GTM Payroll Services, the company that we suggest every family that hires an ABC Nanny to utilize. This resource, GTM Payroll Services, specializes in payroll for household employees and has built a strong relationship with our families and nannies.

Are there any additional advantages I should provide to the nanny? Are there any other benefits that deserve consideration for the nanny? Are there alternative perks that I should offer to the nanny? Are there other benefits that I should take into account for the nanny?

Although ABC Nanny Source does not play a role in determining the benefits, families should still consider offering a competitive benefit package to attract and retain highly sought-after Nannies. This package should include vacation time off, which is typically 2 weeks for full-time Nannies (with one week coinciding with the family vacation and another week at the discretion of the nanny), paid major holidays, and paid sick time.

Are we obligated to employ the nanny we hire for a minimum of one year?

No. The Nanny and ABC Nanny Source hold the entire responsibility. Your family is not obligated to keep paying the nanny or provide employment if you no longer need her services. ABC Nannies are required to sign a one year commitment pledge for acceptance, and the agency offers a one year guarantee in case things don't work out with the hired nanny. However, your family is not obliged to continue paying her salary if you no longer require nanny services due to reasons such as relocation, a parent losing their job, or a decision for the mother to stay at home. This advantage is far better than AuPair Agencies and those offering nannies from outside the local area.

Is there any kind of training involved in becoming a Nanny in NH?

In order to be accepted into our database, ABC Nanny Source mandates that all applicants must hold a valid CPR Certification.

How does the one-year guarantee work?

Simply put, if by any chance your nanny is not a suitable fit for your family within the span of one year, we will gladly undertake a fresh search for a new nanny and support you in choosing an alternative candidate. We take pride in sharing that this circumstance rarely arises!

Do you have bi-lingual nannies?

As a placement counselor, I can confirm that fluency in English is essential for all nannies. Additionally, we have a number of professional nannies who are fluent in other languages such as Spanish, French, and even Sign Language. If this is a preference you have, please inform your assigned placement counselor so that she can consider this while selecting suitable candidates for your family's position.

Is ABC Nanny Source a National Company or a local NH Nanny Agency?

As a family-owned agency, ABC Nanny Source distinguishes itself from impersonal national agencies. Consequently, we prioritize ensuring that every candidate seeking employment through our agency meets our rigorous screening standards. We firmly believe that this requirement is crucial to deliver an unparalleled experience for our families.

What payment methods are accepted?

For your ease and convenience, you have the option to pay the hiring fee using Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover. Today, you have the opportunity to easily complete the registration process by visiting this link: get registered today!

Does ABC Nanny Source offer live in and live out Nannies?

ABC Nanny Source is an agency that specializes in providing both live-in and live-out childcare services. Our emphasis is on ensuring that all our live-out nannies are placed within a convenient 30-minute radius of their place of residence. This means that every candidate you consider for your family will be highly local and easily accessible.

We only need an occassional weekend babysitter – Can you help with that?

Our permanent part-time Nannies at ABC Nannies are not interested in short-term or casual assignments. Rather, they are dedicated to seeking career opportunities. We require our Nannies to commit to a minimum of 25 hours per week.

What is the cost involved in hiring a NH nanny through ABC Nanny Source?

Full Time Live Out and Live In Nannies are available and can provide assistance for weekly needs ranging from 40 to 55+ hours per week. The fee for these services is 14% of the anticipated gross salary of the Nanny, with a minimum fee of $3400. Additionally, ABC Nanny Source offers a ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE to ensure your satisfaction with our services.
Part Time Live Out Nannies who work for an estimated 25 to 39 hours weekly are available for a charge of 16% of their expected gross salary, with a minimum fee of $2800. Additionally, these nannies come with a ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE, ensuring their commitment and performance.

How do you specifically choose the nannies for our particular family?

When harmonizing nannies with families, several aspects are carefully taken into consideration. Firstly, distance is a crucial factor, especially for live-out candidates. We ensure that each live-out nanny is placed within a convenient 30-minute radius of their home. This means that every candidate presented to your family will be local and familiar with the area. Secondly, it is essential for prospective nannies to feel completely comfortable with your family's description, as well as the unique needs and requests you have. We only recommend candidates who have relevant experience and are well-suited to your specific family situation. For example, if you have a newborn, we will only present candidates who have experience working with and love taking care of babies. Moreover, your counselor will closely match the salary requested on your family application when selecting nannies. During the initial consultation, your counselor will ask you questions about the type of candidate you are seeking, such as someone who is bubbly, professional, religious, nurturing, etc. We make an effort to consider these criteria when sorting through potential matches for your family. We also take into account any pets your family may have and if they could potentially interfere with any allergies the nanny may have disclosed to us. Allergies and pet compatibility are important factors when making a successful match. A great deal of work goes into the matching process, but it is all done with a purpose and to yield the desired results.

How do I know that every candidate that I'm considering is safe?

In order to ensure the utmost security and trust in selecting a nanny for your family, we have developed an extensive 10 Step Screening Process. With our careful attention to detail, we leave no stone unturned in thoroughly vetting potential candidates. We verify all references provided, conduct comprehensive criminal background clearances, and administer a negative 5 panel drug test in cooperation with Quest Diagnostics. Furthermore, we diligently obtain and review vehicle registration information, professionally verify identities, and confirm CPR certifications. Our commitment to going the extra mile guarantees that only qualified and reliable nannies are introduced to your family.
