Frequently Asked Questions

From the moment you complete your registration until the hiring process is finalized, how much time does this procedure usually take?

Every household will have a unique experience in this regard. After evaluating three to five candidates, we have observed that most families opt to hire a Nanny. Our aim is to offer ongoing support to help you identify the perfect candidate for your family as promptly as feasible!

Hours of Operation?

Placement counselors at ABC Nanny Source can be reached on weekdays between 9am and 5pm.

Are there a sufficient number of nannies accessible?

We always have an abundance of Nannies available for placement throughout the year. However, the demand for our high caliber Nannies is exceptionally high, which sometimes limits their availability. We never compromise our strict procedures just to have a large pool of Nannies to choose from. Our meticulous selection process sets our Nannies apart from the rest and ensures that only the best candidates are included in our database.

In the realm of financial management, an important aspect that cannot be overlooked is the handling of taxes. How are taxes handled exactly? This question requires a thorough understanding and strategic approach. It necessitates a comprehensive analysis of the tax system, exploring various methods to effectively manage tax obligations. So, what are the strategies commonly employed to handle taxes?

We highly recommend utilizing GTM Payroll Services for all your household employee payroll needs. This company, which we suggest to every family hiring an ABC Nanny, has established an exceptional relationship with our families and nannies. GTM Payroll Services specializes in providing top-notch services in the household employee payroll industry.

Are there any additional advantages that I should consider extending to the nanny?

ABC Nanny Source does not play a determining role in the benefits offered. Nonetheless, families must consider including a comprehensive benefit package in order to attract and retain highly sought-after nannies. This package should include two weeks of vacation time off for full-time nannies: one week coinciding with the family's vacation plans and another week at the nanny's discretion. In addition, paid major holidays and sick time should also be provided.

Are we obligated to employ the nanny we hire for a minimum of one year?

No. The Nanny and ABC Nanny Source bear the entire obligation. Your family is not obliged to maintain the nanny's salary OR employment if her services are no longer needed. ABC Nannies must commit to a one-year pledge, and the agency provides a one-year guarantee in case issues arise with the hired nanny. However, your family will not be obligated to continue paying her salary if you no longer require nanny services, for example, due to relocation, parent's job loss, OR a decision for the mother to stay at home. This advantage is superior to that of AuPair Agencies and those offering nannies from outside the local area.

Is there any kind of training involved in becoming a Nanny in OR?

To be accepted into our database at ABC Nanny Source, it is mandatory for all applicants to hold a valid CPR Certification.

How does the one-year guarantee work?

Simply put, in the rare circumstance that your nanny does not work out for any reason within the span of one year, we will undertake a fresh search for a new nanny to cater to your family's needs. Rest assured, we are delighted to report that this occurrence is infrequent.

Do you have bi-lingual nannies?

According to the placement counselor, it is mandatory for all nannies to have excellent English speaking, reading, and writing skills. Additionally, a significant number of our professional nannies are proficient in other languages, including Spanish, French, and even Sign Language. If you have a preference for nannies with these language skills, kindly inform the placement counselor assigned to your family. This way, she can consider your preferences when selecting suitable candidates for your position.

Is ABC Nanny Source a National Company OR a local OR Nanny Agency?

At ABC Nanny Source, we take pride in being a family owned agency rather than an impersonal National agency. As a result, it is crucial for us to ensure that every candidate seeking employment through our agency adheres to our rigorous screening standards without any exceptions. This requirement is essential to deliver the highest level of satisfaction and an exceptional experience for our families.

What payment methods are accepted?

To ensure ease and convenience, you have the option of paying the hiring fee through Visa, MasterCard, American Express, OR Discover. Take the opportunity to get registered right away!

Does ABC Nanny Source offer live in and live out Nannies?

ABC Nanny Source has extensive expertise in providing both live in and live out childcare services. Our agency prioritizes convenience and proximity for families seeking live out nannies, as we ensure that all candidates are placed within a 30 minute radius of their residence. This means that every potential caregiver you consider will be highly local and easily accessible for your family.

We only need an occassional weekend babysitter – Can you help with that?

All ABC Nannies are focused on finding long-term career opportunities, rather than engaging in short-term OR casual assignments. It is important to note that our part-time Nannies are permanent and require a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week.

What is the cost involved in hiring a OR nanny through ABC Nanny Source?

Full Time Live Out and Live In Nannies are available at ABC Nanny Source. They provide assistance for weekly needs that range from 40 to 55+ hours per week. The fee for these nannies is 14% of their anticipated gross salary, with a minimum fee of $3400. In addition, ABC Nanny Source offers a ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE for their services.
Part-time live-out nannies who work between 25 to 39 hours per week can be secured for a fee of 16% of the anticipated gross salary, with a minimum of $2800. This fee includes a one-year guarantee. More information on part-time live-out nannies and our one-year guarantee can be found at this link and this link respectively. Part Time Live Out Nannies ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE

How do you specifically choose the nannies for our particular family?

When "harmonizing" nannies with families, there are several aspects that are taken into consideration. One important factor is the distance for live-out candidates. We ensure that each live-out nanny is placed within a 30-minute radius of their home. This means that the candidates we present to your family will be local and familiar with the area. Another crucial aspect is ensuring that each prospective nanny feels completely comfortable with your family description and the unique needs and requests you have. We only recommend candidates who have experience and are comfortable with the age of your children. For example, if you have a newborn, we will only present you with candidates who have experience with and love working with babies. Your counselor will also consider your desired salary range when selecting nannies for your family. They will ask you questions during the initial consultation to understand the specific type of candidate you are seeking, such as someone who is bubbly, professional, religious, nurturing, etc. We take this into consideration as criteria when sorting through potential matches for your family. Additionally, we consider any pets that your family may have, taking into account any allergies the nanny may have disclosed. It's a meticulous process to find the perfect match, but it's all done with a purpose and to provide you with the desired results.

How do I know that every candidate that I'm considering is safe?

In order to ensure the safety of your home, we have developed a meticulous 10 Step Screening Process. This thorough procedure encompasses various measures, such as verifying all references provided, conducting comprehensive criminal background checks, and obtaining clearances. Additionally, our screening process includes conducting a negative 5 panel drug test administered by Quest Diagnostics, obtaining vehicle registration information, professionally verifying the identity of candidates, and ensuring they possess CPR certifications. We spare no effort in guaranteeing that only reliable and qualified Nannies are introduced to your family.
