"I am very close with my family. We do everything together. My Father is from Delaware, comes from a large family, and maintains a small town mentality. My Mother grew up in New York, and is a big city woman, so I feel fortunate to be apart of both cultures. My Mother worked in the school system her whole career. I became a peer mediator in fifth grade and have been working with children ever since. I have personally been a nanny for two families, and spent each summer helping children establish confidence in their individuality, and the confidence to succeed in groups. I have been professionally trained in this field through various workshops, motivational speakers, weekly conferences, and preparation courses. Through my experiences in working with children, my creativity and dedication have developed into what I value most about my character. I also love games, ranging from playing tag to monopoly, so any activity involving interaction or high energy is a good choice. My personal favorite is to make cleaning-up fun. "I grew up in a family with ten siblings so I have always been surrounded with children! My two boys are teenagers now, and as they have grown older I have missed having little ones in my life! I have taken care of children for as long as I can remember, from baby-sitting to camp counselor to being a teacher. My career, before I took a break to raise my own children, focused on educational management. At the same time, I am a fine artist, a sculptor, and have taught summer art camp at my home for a number of years.
