Frequently Asked Questions

From the moment you complete the registration process on our website here, how long does it typically take for us to find you a suitable candidate to hire?

Every household will have a unique experience in this matter. After carefully evaluating three to five candidates, most families tend to employ a Nanny. Our team will continue to support you throughout the process of selecting the perfect candidate for your family, ensuring a swift conclusion!

Hours of Operation?

Our placement counselors at ABC Nanny Source are readily available on weekdays, specifically Monday to Friday, during the hours of 9am to 5pm.

Can you provide me with information on the availability of nannies? How many nannies are currently available?

We always have a plentiful supply of Nannies available for placement throughout the year. Nevertheless, demand for the exceptional high caliber Nannies provided by our agency at ABC Nanny Source is considerably high, which may occasionally limit their availability. We will never compromise our rigorous procedures just to increase the number of Nannies to choose from. Our meticulous selection process sets our Nannies apart from the rest and ensures that only the best candidates are included in our exclusive database.

What is the process for handling taxes?

We highly recommend GTM Payroll Services as the company of choice. When hiring an ABC Nanny, we strongly advise every family to make use of their expertise. GTM Payroll Services specializes in household employee payroll and maintains exceptional relationships with both our families and nannies.

Are there any additional perks I should consider offering the nanny? Are there any other advantages I should include in the nanny's package?

ABC Nanny Source acknowledges that the determination of benefits is not within its scope. That being said, families should still consider offering competitive benefit packages to attract and retain highly sought-after Nannies. It is recommended that each family includes vacation time off, typically around 2 weeks for full-time positions (one week coinciding with the family vacation and one week at the nanny's discretion), paid major holidays, and paid sick time.

Are we obligated to employ the nanny we hire for a minimum of one year?

No. The full responsibility lies with the Nanny and ABC Nanny Source. If, for any reason, you no longer require the nanny's services, your family is not obliged to maintain her salary or employment. All ABC Nannies must commit to a one-year agreement, and the agency offers a one-year guarantee to each family in the unlikely scenario that the hired nanny doesn't work out. However, in the event that you no longer need nanny services for any reason (such as relocation, a parent's layoff, or a decision for the mother to stay at home), your family will not be obligated to continue paying her salary. This advantage is far greater compared to AuPair Agencies and those that provide nannies from outside the local area.

Is there any kind of training involved in becoming a Nanny in UT?

Before being accepted into our database, all applicants must have a valid CPR Certification, as mandated by ABC Nanny Source.

How does the one-year guarantee work?

We are pleased to announce that the need for a new nanny search is a rare occurrence. However, in the unlikely event that your nanny does not work out for any reason within the one year time period, we will simply initiate a new nanny search for your family and help you select someone new!

Do you have bi-lingual nannies?

Yes, it is essential that all nannies possess fluency in spoken, written, and comprehension of English. Additionally, numerous professional nannies are proficient in other languages such as Spanish, French, and even Sign Language. If this is a preference you desire, kindly notify the placement counselor assigned to your family to ensure consideration of suitable candidates for your position.

Is ABC Nanny Source a National Company or a local UT Nanny Agency?

ABC Nanny Source is not your typical impersonal National agency - we are a family owned agency committed to providing exceptional service. As a result, we strongly emphasize the importance of our candidates meeting our rigorous screening standards, which we enforce without any exceptions. This is vital to ensure an unparalleled experience for all of our families.

What payment methods are accepted?

You can easily complete the registration process and choose from a variety of payment options for the hiring fee. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover can be used to conveniently make the payment. Don't hesitate to begin your registration process and get registered today!

Does ABC Nanny Source offer live in and live out Nannies?

ABC Nanny Source is an expert in providing both live-in and live-out childcare solutions. Our focus is on ensuring that every live-out nanny we place is located within a 30-minute radius of their home, guaranteeing localized candidates for your family to consider.

We only need an occassional weekend babysitter – Can you help with that?

At ABC Nannies, career opportunities are what our dedicated staff seek, not short term or casual assignments. We take pride in offering permanent part time Nannies who are committed to a minimum of 25 hours per week.

What is the cost involved in hiring a UT nanny through ABC Nanny Source?

Full-Time Live-Out and Live-In Nannies are available at ABC Nanny Source. These nannies are responsible for assisting with weekly needs that range from 40 to 55+ hours per week. The cost for these services is 14% of the nanny's expected gross salary, with a minimum fee of $3400. Additionally, ABC Nanny Source offers a One-Year Guarantee for their services. Full Time Live Out and Live In Nannies ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE
Part Time Live Out Nannies are available to provide assistance for weekly needs ranging from 25 to 39 hours per week. The fee for these nannies is 16% of their anticipated gross salary, with a minimum charge of $2800. Additionally, we offer a ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE to ensure your satisfaction.

How do you specifically choose the nannies for our particular family?

When "harmonizing" nannies with families, there are several aspects to consider. One important factor is the distance for live-out candidates. We make sure to place each live-out nanny within a 30-minute radius of their home, ensuring that they are local to you and familiar with the area. Additionally, it is crucial for each prospective nanny to feel completely comfortable with your family description and understand your unique needs and requests. We only recommend candidates who have experience and are comfortable with the age of your children. For example, if you have a newborn, we will only present you with candidates who have experience with and love working specifically with babies! Your counselor will also pay close attention to selecting nannies who match the salary range requested on your family application. During the initial consultation, your counselor will ask you questions to understand the "type" of candidate you are seeking, taking into consideration attributes such as being bubbly, professional, religious, or nurturing. We also consider any potential interaction with pets in your home and take allergies into account. The matching process requires a lot of effort, but it is all done with the purpose of achieving the desired results.

How do I know that every candidate that I'm considering is safe?

We understand the importance of safeguarding your home, which is why we have developed a meticulous 10 Step Screening Process. Our thorough process ensures that only reliable and qualified Nannies are considered for placement with your family. This includes verifying all references, obtaining clearances for criminal background checks, conducting a negative 5 panel drug test through Quest Diagnostics, verifying vehicle registration, professionally verifying identity, and ensuring CPR certifications are up to date. We take extra measures to guarantee that every necessary precaution is taken, providing you with peace of mind when welcoming a Nanny into your home.
