“I am an upbeat, high energy person who loves teaching children new concepts and lesson to aid them in making good decisions in their life. I want to become a Nanny to expand on my experience with working with children of different ages and continue to help make a difference in children’s lives through the art of teaching. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I want to work with children of different ages and learn about different cultures in the process. Teaching positions are also very hard to find right now. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 4 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are our future with their thoughts and ideas they learn in school and through their life experiences. As teachers, it’s our job to teach them the necessary skills so children can be successful in life. My goal as a Middlesex County After School Nanny is to learn what my duties and responsibilities are and perform them to the best of my ability and also to the ability that satisfies the family I will be working for. In addition, I look forward to spending time with the children that I will be working with and provide meaningful learning experiences for them. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include outdoor athletic activities including baseball, kick ball, soccer, volleyball etc. In addition, if the parents request it, I am able to help the children with their schooling if need be. I am able to provide one to one differentiated instruction based on the child’s needs and provide learning experiences that are geared towards the child’s learning style. I want to make learning fun, whether it is cooking in the kitchen to teach children about fractions and help develop their fine motor skills to teaching them to jump rope and play hop scotch. Children will learn numerous concepts and still have fun in the process. Also I would like to incorporate games such as twister, chutes and ladders, candy land, and clue to help with sharing, taking turns, and follow directions. I would also really enjoy taking the children on outings such as going bowling or roller-skating or to the movies. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be friendly, honest, organized, and a pleasure to work with.”

“Kathleen is wonderful with the children. She is very loving and encouraging. She emphasizes education and rewards achievements in the classroom with praise. Her room is the only one that we stop by everyday on our way out to wave goodbye to Miss Kathleen. I would be completely comfortable having her care for my children in my home as a Middlesex County After School Nanny!”

“Kathleen’s experience teaching first hand and her eagerness to learn were apparent by her hard work and early arrival each day. She never shied away from a new experience, a teaching challenge, or even a mundane task. I feel that these qualities will make her an asset to any childcare position! She recognized the worth of all students and established an inclusive and equitable learning environment for the educational success of each student. Kathleen is a professional and dedicated teacher. Her ability to work with teachers and her concern especially for students with special needs will make her an asset as a Middlesex County After School Nanny or any childcare position. While working with Kathleen, I came to respect her eagerness and determination to prove herself. Kathleen is a determined professional who strives to make a positive difference in her students' lives.”
