"I am a very outgoing and motivated person, and a big animal lover! I enjoy being outdoors and traveling. I have been in childcare for about eight years and I feel that it is a very rewarding position! I believe that the perfect nanny position would one where the children/family and I really learned from each other and they have a great time. I am very flexible with my schedule so I would try to meet the needs of the family. In my last Nanny position I cared for 2 year old and 4 year old full time as a live-out nanny. My responsibilities included preparing the children's breakfast, reading books, doing many crafts, taking the children to a variety of activities such as swimming lessons, the park, grocery shopping, running errands, light house keeping of the children's rooms and play area, and did the children's laundry. In my position at Mulberry Preschool Started as an Assistant teacher in the 2-year old room, and got promoted to Assistant Director of the school. Worked with ages 6 weeks to 5 years old. I gave tours of the school to visiting families, tuition, filing, filled in for staff in the classrooms, made the staff schedule, made monthly schedule for the classrooms by age group. I would have to say the reason I have chosen the Nanny profession over any other is because I love the individualized attention I can provide in a home setting- I feel children need this individualized attention to feel special. I feel children are very special, and that we can learn from them as much as we teach them. I can assure you my references will tell you I am very energetic and outgoing and will keep the children I care for very busy and interactive. I always use a daily journal to write down the activities and things that we accomplished that day- also in the journal could be what the children ate, any potty training, (it would be age appropriate) I am also comfortable with light housekeeping that would include children's laundry, cleaning, dishes, vacuuming and keeping the home tidy! "I am definitely what people would consider a "people person." I love children; I believe working with them is such a rewarding position! I have worked through the Phoenixville YMCA for School Age Childcare. We had on average about forty kids, and about 3 or 4 counselors on duty.
