Are there a significant number of nannies ready to be hired?

We have sufficient Nannies open for placement any time of the year. However, there is a great necessity for the high caliber Nannies we offer, so at times availability may be restricted. We will never negotiate our strict procedures just to have a ‘group’ of Nannies to choose from. We are very meticulous in who we choose to agree to have in our database which differentiates our Nannies from the rest!

How are taxes managed? How are taxes dealt with? How are taxes taken care of? How are taxes addressed? How are taxes processed? How are taxes organized? How are taxes sorted out?

Are there any additional perks or advantages I should provide to the nanny?

In the context of hiring and retaining highly sought-after Nannies, it is important to note that ABC Nanny Source is not responsible for determining the benefits. However, families should keep in mind the significance of offering a competitive benefit package in order to attract and retain these Nannies. This package could include vacation time off, typically two weeks for full-time Nannies (with one week aligned with the family's vacation and another week at the Nanny's discretion), paid major holidays, and paid sick time.

Are we obligated to employ the nanny we hire for a minimum of one year?

The Nanny and ABC Nanny Source bear the entire obligation, and it is not required for your family to maintain the nanny's salary or employment if her services are no longer needed. Signing a one year commitment pledge is mandatory for all ABC Nannies, and the agency guarantees a one year period in case any complications arise with the hired nanny. However, in the event that your family no longer requires nanny services for any reason, such as relocation, parental job loss, or a decision for the mother to stay at home, you are under no obligation to continue paying her salary. This advantage sets us apart from AuPair Agencies and those providing nannies from outside the local area.

Is there any kind of training involved in becoming a Nanny in CA?

In order to be accepted into our database at ABC Nanny Source, it is mandatory for all applicants to possess a valid CPR Certification.

How does the one-year guarantee work?

We take pride in the fact that our services are rarely required, but in the unlikely event that your nanny doesn't work out within the one year timeframe, we will simply initiate a new nanny search for your family and assist you in selecting someone new!

Do you have bi-lingual nannies?

Yes. First, it is a requirement that all nannies are fluent in speaking, reading and writing English. Second, many of our professional nannies are fluent in additional languages such as Spanish, French and even Sign Language. If this is a preference you have, please inform the placement counselor assigned to your family so she can bear this in mind when selecting the appropriate candidates for your position.

This means that each candidate your family considers will be extremely local and easily accessible!

We only need an occassional weekend babysitter – Can you help with that?

At ABC Nannies, our focus is on career opportunities rather than short term or casual assignments. Every one of our nannies is committed to finding long-term placements. Our permanent part-time nannies specifically require a minimum of 25 hours per week. Rest assured that when you choose an ABC Nanny, you're choosing a dedicated professional seeking a fulfilling career.

What is the cost involved in hiring a CA nanny through ABC Nanny Source?

Full Time Live Out and Live In Nannies who assist with weekly needs that are 40 to 55+ hours per week are provided at a fee of 14% of the Nanny’s anticipated gross salary with a minimum of $3400. ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE
Part Time Live Out Nannies who assist with weekly needs that are 25 to 39 hours per week are provided at a fee of 16% of the Nannies anticipated gross salary with a minimum of $2800. ONE-YEAR GUARANTEE

How do you specifically choose the nannies for our particular family?

Each live out nanny is placed within a 30-minute radius of their home, ensuring that all candidates presented to your family will be local and familiar with the area. Another important consideration is that each prospective nanny must feel completely at ease with your family description and the unique needs and requests you have. We will only recommend candidates who have relevant experience and are comfortable working with children of your specific age range. For example, if you have a newborn, we will only present you with candidates who have experience working with and adore babies. Additionally, your counselor will pay close attention to selecting nannies whose salary expectations align with what you stated in your family application. During the initial consultation, your counselor will ask you about the desired qualities of the candidate you're seeking, such as being bubbly, professional, religious, nurturing, etc. We make a significant effort to take these criteria into account when determining the best match for your family. We also consider any pets you may have that could potentially cause allergies for a nanny who has informed us about their allergies. The matching process involves a lot of work, but it serves a valuable purpose and delivers the desired results.

How do I know that every candidate that I'm considering is safe?

To ensure the utmost safety and reliability, we have implemented a stringent 10 Step Screening Process. We understand the importance of inviting only the most trustworthy individuals into your home.
