Nonetheless, families must consider offering a benefit package to attract and retain highly sought-after Nannies. This package should include a provision for vacation time off, typically amounting to 2 weeks for full-time Nannies (one week aligned with the family vacation and one week at the Nanny's discretion), as well as paid major holidays and paid sick leave.
 Are we obligated to employ the nanny we hire for a minimum of one year?
No. The Nanny and ABC Nanny Source bear the entire obligation. If you no longer require the services of the nanny, your family is not obligated to continue her salary or employment. All ABC Nannies must commit to a one year pledge, and the agency guarantees one year of service to each family in case the hired nanny does not work out; however, your family is not required to continue paying her salary if you no longer need nanny services for any reason. This is a significant advantage compared to AuPair Agencies and agencies that provide nannies from outside the local area.
Is there any kind of training involved in becoming a Nanny in LA?
Before being accepted into our database, all applicants must possess a valid CPR Certification, as mandated by ABC Nanny Source.
 How does the one-year guarantee work?
Simply put, if for any reason within the one year time period your nanny does not work out, rest assured we will assist you in initiating a new nanny search and selecting someone new for your family. Do you have bi-lingual nannies?
When speaking with the placement counselor, make sure to mention your preference for nannies who are fluent in English, as this is a mandatory requirement.
