Many families who have done this before have a very good idea what questions they would like to ask when they meet candidates face to face. However, for those of you who are new to the nanny world - here are some recommended questions you may want to inquire when you begin interviewing for a NJ Nanny!

1. What made you choose the nanny profession over some other childcare related job at a school or daycare?

3. What are your ideas and viewpoints regarding discipline?

4. In your own words please tell me what you feel defines a great nanny?

5. When the placement counselor read you the description regarding our family and what we are looking for, did you have any questions or concerns?

6. What types of activities, both educational and play, would you plan on incorporating into the daily plan?

7. What kind of communication style are you accustomed to with the families you have worked for previously? Do you intend on keeping a daily events journal to keep us informed on what happened during the course of the day?

8. Would you describe yourself as a dependable caregiver?

9. What would you say is your most outstanding attribute? What do you feel you need to work on?
