"If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because as a nanny I have direct impact on a child and their family. I take that responsibility very seriously and I feel it is an honor to have such a role in a child’s upbringing. I find that my experience as a nanny has by far been the most positive and rewarding for both myself and the children I work with. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 10 years and can honestly say I absolutely LOVE what I do! I feel that children are a gift to help us learn, grow, explore, have fun and see the truth. Today’s children are truly the leaders of tomorrow and it is our job as their care givers to provide them with the love, support and knowledge they need to grow into their full potential. My goal as a Nanny is to be an extension of the child’s parents. When the parents cannot be around I am there to support their parenting by making sure that their children are getting the care that they would be given if the parent was present, by following through with the parenting style, household rules and traditions. I also want the child’s experience to be fun and enriching- so that they will benefit from having an additional person present in their lives. I am willing to do housekeeping. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am organized, fun, positive, intelligent, and dependable. I would like to include activities such as, art activities, swim lessons, reading/writing practice, outdoor/indoor games, music exploration, and cooking."
"Ashley is a great person. She’s happy, energetic, and very reliable. I know I can count on her or I wouldn’t have her as a nanny or recommend her to a Fairfield County Nanny Agency. My children have special food needs and allergies. One is environmental and food allergies that can turn anaphylactic. We need someone who can give her emergency medicine, an Epi-pen, get her to a hospital and keep a clear head. My other daughter has Celiac disease, so her foods and products have to be gluten-free. Cross-contamination is an issue for both girls so Ashley has to deal with that, too. She also cares for my dog. She’s very good with her and loves her, too. She stays at my house when we go on trips and takes care of the children and the dog. She drives them to their activities, helps them with their homework, plays with them, does light housekeeping, prepares them in the morning for school, and makes their meals. She takes my dog on a walk a couple of times a day, too. When I met Ashley I knew she was the one. I needed someone I could trust with my children. I go on a big trip a year and I have anxiety over leaving the children because of their allergies. I learned that Ashley is very good at her job. She is trustworthy and understands my nervousness about the children. She came with previous experience with allergies and emergency meds so that made me comfortable. I had her provide care a number of times before I went on a big trip. I also ran around to all the places she needed to go while I was away, including the hospital. She is a very friendly and dependable person to have in your home. I highly recommend her!"
"Ashley did a fantastic job. My children ask about Miss Ashley all the time! I would certainly use her more often if possible. She was responsible and my children loved their time with her. I felt very comfortable taking a vacation out of the country with them in her care. She would be a valuable asset to any family. I have always known her to be dependable and professional, while still creating a loving and nurturing environment for my children to have fun in. I am very grateful to have her in my life, and wish her all the best in her future career."
"I have had the pleasure of using Ashley’s childcare services over the past five years. Our working relationship started out as a mother’s helper soon after the birth of my youngest child. She would spend about one day a week at my house and help with childcare, household chores and run errands for our family. As my children have gotten older we’ve needed less mother’s helper and more childcare services from her. Ashley is very good with children, always patient, punctual and ready to have fun whenever she arrived. Over the years she has cared for my children for special events, date nights with my husband and even accompanied them to birthday parties and activities. Ashley is able to help in supportive roles such as following a potty training schedule that my family had established or reviewing a speech therapy assignment with my child when needed. She is versatile and good with the little ones as well as school age children. When we come home whatever meal was served is always cleaned with the dishwasher loaded and the toys are quickly put away before she leaves. Now that our children will both be enrolled in day school full time in the fall, our need for a childcare provider is declining during the school year. We will always call Ashley for any childcare needs but it’s the perfect opportunity for her to share her wonderful skills with a new family and we wish her the best!"
"Ashley was great with my children. I never had to worry about them while I was working. It was so comforting to know they were well taken care of. Ashley was always up and ready to take care of my children. She always had a day of activities planned for them and they enjoyed going over to her. She was very good with children and will be a wonderful new addition to you Fairfield County Nanny Agency."
