"What impressed me the most about working with ABC Nanny Source was the level of detail and organization in which such confidential information was presented. I received an extensive profile of each nanny candidate prior to her coming to my home for an interview. Once each nanny arrived at my door, I was fully relaxed because I felt I already knew the person in front of me! That’s how detailed these profiles were. The process was made very easy for our family and within a matter of days, I hired the perfect nanny for our children!"

Catherine loves helping with homework as an Issaquah After School Nanny!

“I am an extremely passionate and patient person, I believe my commitment to my dance team throughout middle school and high school proves this in a very unique way. I started dance when I was three and progressed into the youngest position on the competing team when I was 10 years old. I absolutely loved the expression and the outlet that dancing supplied me with and fell completely in love. I do not come from a wealthy family and therefore my parents told me I had to pay for my own dance classes if I would want to continue as I entered middle school. I babysat as much as possible to supplement this, which lead to my other passion in life; children and teaching. I found that I greatly enjoyed working with children and felt a great compassion for helping them with their homework and with their management and responsibility skills. From a young age I had almost a knack for not only keeping the children I babysat safe, but also making sure that they cleaned up after themselves, completed their homework and made good choices. I combined these passions in high school as I began to teach dance. I started each day off at school, from there went straight to my dance studio and taught one or two classes, then took classes myself, and either babysat or competed with dance on weekends. My days were non-stop, yet I kept my grades and enthusiasm up. If you love what you are doing, no matter how exhausting, you find happiness and optimism. I chose my college because I wanted to travel and have a completely new experience. I absolutely loved the atmosphere and education I was getting there, but once I found that their education program was slightly restricted, I became a little hesitant from continuing my studies there. My father became very ill toward the end of my first year which solidified my whim of transferring schools. I applied to another college for their teacher education major (and the fact that it is closer to my home) and I have absolutely cherished the knowledge and experience I have attained there in the past 3 years. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other it would have to be because I love working with children. Each day brings new opportunities to learn, teach and grow. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 10 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are fun, loving, curious, exciting to teach, and differently abled. My goal as an Issaquah After School Nanny is to make sure the children I care for are safe, comfortable and active. I am willing to do housekeeping at the parents’ requests that include cleaning, organizing, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and dishes. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am passionate, patient, kind, organized, and responsible. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include going to the park, playing outside, making crafts, doing chores and healthy eating. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be caring and understanding.”

“It is with a great deal of pleasure that I recommend Catherine. Catherine was a student in my Seminar I and Seminar II classes. A few of the qualities that define this outstanding young woman are that she is highly motivated, bright, personable, caring, conscientious, and well organized. Catherine contributed to class discussions with insight and conviction. I was also responsible for supporting her during her Clinical I and II student teaching practicum, I observed Catherine utilizing a range of teaching strategies, including differentiated instruction, to address the needs of the different children in her class. Her kindergarten students were enthusiastic and energetic, and she engaged them with well-planned, developmentally appropriate and creative lessons. She also fostered and modeled a positive classroom management model for her students, fostering a safe and dignified learning environment. Her involvement in the STARS Program, and the experiences she has acquired as a childcare worker and dance instructor has expanded and enriched her preparation to be an effective and passionate educator. I am confident that she will be great asset as an Issaquah After School Nanny and will make any family lucky to have her.”

She has an excellent rapport with the children, her colleagues and administration/ In summary, Catherine will be an asset to your family. All of the qualities that make her a great teacher will make her an even better Issaquah After School Nanny!”

“I have no doubt that Catherine would be an asset to your family as your Issaquah After School Nanny. Catherine was my student teacher for the academic year 2009-2010. During her year of student teaching I observed her develop into a fine educator. An educator who is equipped to meet the challenges in today's classroom. Catherine understands the core curriculum standards and can internalize them into her teaching. Her lessons are well developed and meet the individual needs of her students. She is able to expand on her lessons by incorporating hands on activities and technology. Catherine is an effective communicator, who can express herself in a clear and concise manner. She is a team player who works well with other staff members as well as parents. Good communication skills led Catherine to be in control of the class. Her classroom management plan is well structured and user friendly. She can manage the classroom in a firm and kind manner. Catherine is a first-rate educator/ childcare provider. She understands the curriculum and is eager to meet the needs of her students both academically and socially.”
