“I have worked with children since 15 and since then I have worked with children who were newborns to teenagers. I set goals for the children I work with whether it is potty training, homework, finding hidden talents, or just being comfortable with them. I am the youngest of 6 children, most of them married, some with children. Also, growing up I was very close with my extended family which included a large number of cousins and second cousins. I would like to be a nanny because I can have the opportunity to impact a child in a positive way and help them grow and develop into an amazing person. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other, it would have to be because I love working with children and becoming a part of their lives. Additionally, I love making a difference in their lives. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 6 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel the children are very impressionable, important to society, and they are a huge factor in the development of a family as a whole. My goal as a Sammamish Summer Nanny is to help children who need assistance in any part of their lives, and if they do not need as much assistance, be their friends and get them through milestones in their lives. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes vacuuming, dishes, cooking, cleaning up after children, and the small occasional cleaning up after animals if needed. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am fun, artistic, creative, experienced, and structured. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include games, additional education time, arts and crafts, and sports. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be laid back, easy to work with, more than one child, extremely caring and loving about their children and mindful of their needs as well as my own as a child care worker.”
