"What impressed me the most about working with ABC Nanny Source was the level of detail and organization in which such confidential information was presented. I received an extensive profile of each nanny candidate prior to her coming to my home for an interview. Once each nanny arrived at my door, I was fully relaxed because I felt I already knew the person in front of me! That’s how detailed these profiles were. The process was made very easy for our family and within a matter of days, I hired the perfect nanny for our children!"

Stephanie chose to become a Thurston County Special Needs Nanny in order to positively shape the children's future.

“I am a very outgoing, energetic, imaginative, and positive person. It’s a pretty cliché reason to be a nanny, but I simply love children. The way children look at the world is so unique and it’s a gift most adults lose the more they grow up. Children have this way of finding happiness in the most simplistic events or objects, and they look at them, face lit up, like it’s the best thing in the world. I love being around that kind of joy and excitement. If I was asked to describe in one sentence the reason I have chosen to be a Thurston County Special Needs Nanny over any other profession, it would have to be because other than loving children in general, I love taking care of them. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard it is to trust someone all day to ensure the safety and happiness of their child. But I know I can do that for a family. I can make sure a mother and father are at ease all day, as well as make sure their child or children I am watching are being taken care of, getting all that they need, and having fun. I have been serving in some form of childcare experience for over 9 years and can honestly say I am passionate about and love what I do! I feel that children are unique, unconditionally loving, and impressionable. Everything around a child will influence how they will grow up, and the attitude they have about it. My goal as a Nanny is to help a family raise their children when the parents are away at work, such as potty training, teaching manners, following a schedule and helping with homework. It is also my duty to make sure the children are not around any kind of negativity, and are as happy as I can make them, while keeping them safe. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes doing the children’s laundry, straightening up, and household errands. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am happy, loving, energetic, positive, and creative. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include arts and crafts, dress-up/make believe, outdoor activities and games, visiting the park, zoo, or library. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me I would hope they would be happy, kind, respectful, trusting, and laid-back. A family who will treat me as part of the family would be perfect.”

“Stephanie had a lot of responsibility when working for us. She came very early, woke up and dressed the children, made them breakfast, followed a routine, and cleaned up after them during a 12-hour period. In addition, she was responsible for getting the older one off to school, taking him to piano/violin, grocery shopping, small errands, and keeping the little one on a daily nap schedule. She has a lot of energy, and not only completed all these things, but was very positive and enthusiastic while she played with the kids throughout the day. She was timely, and was willing to be flexible and adaptable. Many times, she would clean up after the boys, and have time to still cook meals, and do our laundry as well! You could tell Stephanie had experience as a Thurston County Special Needs Nanny! She was very open and honest with her communication. She was a little nervous on the first interview, but we hired her because I was very impressed with the email she wrote me, and she was very sweet. We couldn’t have been happier! The kids loved her, and she really focused on her job when she was here. She was trustworthy, reliable, and overall, it was a positive experience. I cut back my hours at my job to 1-2 days per week (mostly weekends) and no longer needed her. We were all very sad to see her go. She has watched the kids a few times since I cut back my hours, and we plan on continuing to have her watch the kids now and then, since she lives so close.”

“Stephanie fulfilled all requirements that we asked of her. If we ever asked for something, she would do it. She didn’t let the children sit in front of computer all day. She got them to go out on daily walks. Stephanie is my neighbor and has been watching my girls since she was 16. My girls get very excited when I need to use her to babysit. She loves to play with them, but can also be firm when necessary. I recently overheard her reminding one of my girls about how to properly ask for something. She is a great self-starter and keeps the girls busy. I highly recommend her for any Thurston County Special Needs Nanny position.”

“Stephanie always went above and beyond what we had expected of her! At the time, it was very difficult to trust my newborn son with anyone, let alone someone outside of my family. My son was extremely colicky due to reflux for the first year; naturally, he demanded extreme patience and nurturing. Stephanie went over and above my expectations. In 2007, I moved about an hour away for a new job opportunity and was, unfortunately, too far from Stephanie to continue our arrangement. Otherwise, I would have absolutely continued to employ her. Stephanie’s flexibility to my schedule, endless patience with my son’s fussiness due to colic and genuinely cheerful nature never ceased to surprise me. With her added skills in education and additional childcare experience, I cannot imagine finding a more enthusiastic, reliable and qualified Thurston County Special Needs Nanny. She’s the real deal! I wholeheartedly recommend her to any family seeking additional care for their children!”
