"What impressed me the most about working with ABC Nanny Source was the level of detail and organization in which such confidential information was presented. I received an extensive profile of each nanny candidate prior to her coming to my home for an interview. Once each nanny arrived at my door, I was fully relaxed because I felt I already knew the person in front of me! That’s how detailed these profiles were. The process was made very easy for our family and within a matter of days, I hired the perfect nanny for our children!"

Laurel loves being a Fairfax County Special Needs Nanny because she enjoys feeling she is mentoring the children, and helping to shape their future.

"I am the youngest of four sisters, one being my identical twin. I have always grown up with a sense of family, and a sense of security knowing that family would always be close by. From a young age, I was exposed to having a Nanny of my own. It was this bond with my Nanny as I grew up that allowed me to develop independently of my sisters, while still maintaining our tight knit family dynamic. This sense of security allowed me to develop into a fun, outgoing, and energetic young woman who enjoys being outside, and active. I have been serving in various forms of childcare experience for over 10 years and can honestly say I love what I do! I feel that children are our future. They absorb all the knowledge of those around them and it is the environment and mentors that surrounds them that shape who they become. They are carefree and full of life. My goal as a Fairfax County Special Needs Nanny is to enrich the lives of the children I care for, buy exposing them to a wealth of activities and opportunities which would in turn enable them to develop their own sense of purpose as they grow up. I am willing to do housekeeping at the parent’s requests that includes but is not limited to, light cleaning, cooking, laundry, and other necessary cleaning to keep the home neat. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives I would say that I am positive, active, driven, caring, and fun-loving. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include: activities that the parents request, an active activity (going to a park or riding bikes), and a creative activity (craft or dress up). Additionally, I feel that reading is a must. If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like myself I would hope they would be welcoming, understanding, patient, and caring. Most importantly, I am looking for a family that accepts that I am going to be a positive role model for their children and an addition to their family that will hopefully enrich all of our lives."

"Laurel has watched my daughter and been a huge part of her life since the day she was born. She is a natural when it comes to motherhood. I have never experienced someone who is not yet a mom, more comfortable with a newborn. My daughter loves Laurel and is coming up on her second birthday. I am a single mom and have had many times where I have been in a bind and she has always come through to offer help or assistance. She is truly an amazing friend, Nanny and person. She is the only non-family member I trust with my daughter."

"Laurel was absolutely the best. When she first started providing childcare for us as a Fairfax County Special Needs Nanny, our son was only two years old. We were still hesitant to leave him with a non-family member. From the first time she stayed with him, Laurel’s caring and easy going nature put us and him at ease. He looked forward to the times when she would come over, and we really appreciated how much she cared for our son. Laurel was the absolute best. She cared for him and took a genuine interest in him. He came to love her and really enjoyed spending time with her. We had peace of mind that we were leaving our son with a person who would care for him just as we would."

"It is my pleasure to recommend Laurel to you. I have gotten to know Laurel well over the years. I met her when she was a child, and have enjoyed watching her grow, mature, and blossom as she has become a young adult. Laurel has a smile that will light up a room. She is warm, gentle, funny, and giving. I met Laurel because I work with her mother. As I got to know her, I realized that she was a very special girl. Laurel has always been a hard worker; willing to put 100 into everything she does: Once she was in high school, I began to use her as my own childcare reference. I always felt confident leaving her with my young children. My children loved her; Laurel was always the kind of childcare provider to get down on their level. She played with them, laughed with them, and made them feel safe and secure in my absence. Once Laurel got to college, her determination to succeed only continued. With a full load of classes, she also played field hockey and contributed to the team each and every year. Laurel is able to multi-task. She got her work done, devoted herself to her sport, and always had many friends. She is well-rounded. A Nanny position will be a great fit for Laurel. She is fun, patient, kind, and trust-worthy. It is obvious that I hold Laurel in high regard. She is a terrific young lady, and one whom I feel very comfortable supporting for any childcare provider!"

"Laurel is a very giving person. She has given my son a safe and secure home to stay in and has planned activities carefully around his school schedule. Laurel has always been on time and prepared to care for my son. She is gentle and understanding of his needs, and very attentive. I am glad to know Laurel and to have her in my son’s life as a Fairfax County Special Needs Nanny."
