What makes ABC Nanny Source distinctive from the other agencies in New York City?
Great question!
Our unique 10 step screening process sets ABC apart from all other NY Nanny agencies. We are the only agency in the New York Metropolitan area that requires each nanny to be CPR Certified for Infants and Children, electronically fingerprinted, interviewed face-to-face in our local office, drug tested through Quest Diagnostics, proven exceptional references and passed extensive background clearances prior to being accepted to meet with families. ABC also has a proven success rate in providing long-term caregivers that stay with our families far beyond the one-year we require. We are confident in each of our placements and therefore offer a full non-prorated guarantee for an entire year to ensure continued satisfaction with our service. I have two children; a newborn and a two year old. I am seeking to hire someone part time, three days a week. Can you help with my limited needs?
Absolutely! All of our part time nannies work a minimum of 25 hours per week. They are paid an hourly rate of $15-$20+/hour. The vast majority of our part time live out nannies are studying to become teachers, nurses and pediatricians, requesting a part time position that is able to accommodate their school schedule and still allow them to remain active in the childcare industry. These students are studying to become professional caregivers in their respective fields because they love children and oftentimes turn out to be very long term caregivers because their course requirements are typically years in duration.
We are seeking a full time nanny to work in our home from 7am to 7pm Monday through Friday. This is not a typical 40 hour work week; can we hire a nanny to work this many hours per week?

Each temporary nanny is paid $20 per hour at the end of the assignment requested. The agency charges a nominal fee of $25 per day to reserve a temporary nanny and it is often available upon a moments notice.

We have a cat at home who needs to be fed once a day. Will our nanny be able to do that?
Yes! Our NYC nannies are typically very fond of the concept of light pet care. It seems the characteristics often found in childcare professionals lend themselves very nicely to pet lovers as well. Feeding your pet once a day, or letting them outside is standard when a nanny cares for your family! Just let your placement counselor know that you have a pet when you register, so she sends you pet friendly nannies!
What experience do ABC Nannies have?
Our nannies have an array of experiences to offer to families. Many ABC nannies have their certified elementary school education credentials; other nannies have been in the nanny profession for a number of years. Many of our nannies are musically inclined and can also offer lessons in piano, flute, clarinet, trumpet and violin. Other candidates are multi-lingual and some have experience in Baby Sign Language; the most advanced communication styles recently promoted by pediatricians.
