If you have a passion for taking care of others in a Delaware County companion care job, consider focussing your attention on little ones in a nanny position!

Delaware County Nanny Job:

Full Time: Monday – Friday (7am – 4pm)
Children: 7 months old (baby girl)
Salary Offering: $600-$700 per week
Note: Mom likes the baby to be kept on a routine as much as possible, but would like a nanny who cares enough to notice when the routine/ schedule needs to be adjusted based upon age, etc.
Children's Activities: Shes still young but enjoys walks outside, reading together, rolling on the floor with interesting objects all around her, watching people and our cat. She also enjoys singing and practicing new skills (sitting up, trying to "stand")
Position Description: Dressing baby in the morning, feeding her according to schedule (bottles and some solids at this point), as she eats more solid food, some food prep would be required, keeping the nap schedule, taking her for walks, and keeping her occupied during all playtime in an educational and age appropriate manner (little to no tv). Some days there may be a bath needed, but that would be rare.

PARENT REQUEST:

"Nanny must be warm and caring, but able to discipline as needed. I really would like a nanny who is familiar with transitional phases regardless of age, and can focus on age-appropriate activities, particularly educational in nature such as reading, singing songs, etc. If she has held a companion care job in Delaware County it would be a plus, as patience and the ability to create and implement activities is very important to us. Also a nanny who will take the baby for walks, and other outside activities is ideal."

“I hired Sarah to provide full-time nanny care for our daughter who was 8 months old at the time. When we started our process of looking for a nanny, our goal was to find a caregiver who would be an extension of our family and assist us in raising our daughter with the same values, care and compassion we would give. Knowing that Sarah held a companion care job in Delaware County gave us great comfort! She takes great pride in the role that she plays in raising our daughter, who has developed into an extremely bright, energetic and independent young lady! Some of Sarah's daily routines include walks, crafts, taking our daughter to swim and dance classes, bath, nap time or simply playing with toys on the floor. It was important for us to receive daily updates on their day so we could still remain connected. Sarah is extremely dependable, always arriving to work on time and willing to work additional hours if needed. I knew when our daughter was in Sarah's care that she would be well protected! I also knew our daughter would test the boundaries and the need for discipline would eventually be needed. Sarah discussed with us how we would like her to deal with this situation and we talked about the use of a "timeout". We appreciated the fact that Sarah came to us and asked us how to address certain important issues. We initially were concerned when we needed to seek a caregiver outside of the family as our first child was taken care of by our parents. Those concerns quickly faded when we met Sarah and saw how well our daughter adapted! We have been extremely pleased with how Sarah has cared for our daughter and our home. My husband and I would recommend Sarah for any nanny position!”

“Donna cared for my son upon my return to work from maternity leave. She was initially hired by me to fill our Delaware County companion care job. She proved to be a very dependable and caring person who was always on time and very flexible, so we then asked if she would be willing to care for our son instead. My son was about 4 months old when he was in her care. She was always attentive to his needs and made sure she followed my instructions. At times I would find Donna singing to my son and I always felt comfortable leaving him with her. It was like a breath of fresh air to know that your son is in the hands of a caring and responsible person. I was very upset to have to find a new childcare provider for my son but Donna was going back to school. Until this day she comes and picks him up and takes him to the park. She has so much love for my son! I have found her loyal and devoted care of my son a true blessing and confidently recommend her to you as a Nanny!”

“Rachel went above and beyond her duties at her Delaware County companion care job, which is why I hired her to care for my daughter after school. My daughter looked forward to her time with her. Rachel was always patient while helping her with homework. She made certain she had her snacks after school, and drove her to dance classes. She gave her a gift for every holiday and birthday, even after her employment ended. My daughter still has artwork in her room that they created together. Rachel is tender, patient and an absolute delight. Any child would be lucky to have her as a companion and caregiver!”

“Caitlin’s relationship with our children was a secure and loving bond! Our children connected with her immediately. She has a warm and generous personality that comes through as soon as you meet her. She attended every birthday party, always bringing a thoughtful gift that she knew my children would love and appreciate! She took the children to the library for special reading times; she loved to play with them, and would always use her imagination to keep them busy and active. Her patience knew no bounds and she made sure they always cleaned up their toys and accepted responsibility for their actions. Caitlin initially held a Delaware County companion care job, and I knew from the first time I met her she had chosen the right profession. Her compassion, generosity, and total unselfish personality assures me that she will be the best in her chosen field. I recommend Caitlin highly as a childcare provider! She was gift given to our family! She calls and visits us frequently and we consider her part of our family!”

“Beth was formerly employed in a Delaware County companion care job, and it was in that capacity that my husband and I got to know her. Beth is a very warm and loving individual, and hit it off very well with anyone in her care. Along with her warm personality, she was also very good at handling any issues fairly. I never saw her lose her temper or get angry. She was always patient but firm. She knew how to walk the line of being their friend, without allowing them to walk all over her. She taught my children things like cleaning up one’s own mess and putting things away. She was very involved with the kids, and often read or sang to them, and was the type of caregiver who would get down on the floor with them and play! She was always very affectionate and my kids lots of hugs and kisses! We felt comfortable enough to have Beth watch our children in our home. We were always pleased with her rapport with the kids, and they enjoyed having her come to the house. She is trustworthy and reliable, and a good worker! She is an excellent caregiver, and you will find that she is a very good choice when hiring a nanny!”
