A Main Line companion care job can bring joy to both yourself as well as your charge; however, it can take its toll on you mentally. Alleviate your days with a relaxing nanny position!

Main Line Nanny Job:

Full Time: Live In Monday through Friday (7am-7pm)
Children: 3 months old and 10 years old
Salary Offering: $700 per week
Note: Molly may need to take Zyrtec for allergies on occasion
Children's Activities: Molly enjoys crafts/drawing, swimming, bike riding, playing in the park as well as listening to music. Mark is only a baby, but he loves being in his bouncy chair and looking around outside!
Position Description: Taking care of baby, including feeding, changing diaper, bathing/dressing, playing and interacting with him. Molly is only with us half the time, but would need to be picked up from school and may need some homework help depending on whether Nanny has any time available while baby is napping etc. We would want the Nanny to take care of the children’s laundry and some light housekeeping such as keeping the children’s rooms clean and keeping the kitchen tidy.

PARENT REQUEST:

“We would want someone calm, patient, nurturing and loving - preferably someone who has held a Main Line companion care job and has that exact personality. Good organization and reliability is imperative as we want someone we can count on. Someone who enjoys getting outdoors and/or playing with the children rather than just sitting in front of the TV. Someone who is creative minded. We want someone who can bring joy, enthusiasm, dedication, stability and commitment to our children’s lives, not someone who has another career they may go back to in the near future.”

Your Main Line companion care job has helped to mold your personality into one that is kind, tolerant, and encouraging. All of these are personality traits that families look for when seeking their perfect nanny candidate. Below, families speak of nannies that have experience like yours:

“Dana is the only one that we allow to care for our baby, mainly because I have seen her with other children and I know she works well with them. I know in her previous Main Line companion care job she was well received. I have seen her care for my daughter when I was home, when she was only 2 months old when I was not allowing anyone to watch her alone. Dana is really good with my baby! She is also reliable; when I called her last minute when I needed childcare, she was always there. She cared for my daughter for several hours one time when I was at a wedding, and being a paranoid mother, I called many times! Every time I checked in, everything seemed to be fine. Dana changed my daughter’s diapers, fed her, played with her, and even administered medicine when she was sick. My child, even as young as she is, is very alert and active; a handful! Dana played and interacted with her just fine. I never had a problem with her! I recommend her for a Nanny position!”

“Olivia was a Lead Teacher at the daycare after leaving her Main Line home health aide job, and she had many responsibilities. She created lesson plans, ran circle time, conducted art projects, and worked with the children on gross motor skills. Olivia is very energetic and positive. She never had a negative attitude and always came to work with a smile on her face! She was very loving toward the children and their families. She communicated with the parents, and sent schedules to them including comments or concerns about their children. She was also reliable and always came to work on time. I highly recommend her for a Nanny position!”

“Sylvie is fun, bubbly, and outgoing! When we initially met at my neighbor’s home while she was filling his Main Line companion care job, I discovered that her dream was to one day become a nanny. I am a Nanny myself, and I understand what the position entails. I also met the children Sylvie cares for currently, and know that she does very well with them. We have play dates together and go to the park with the kids. She interacts with them and really gets down on their level. The children she cares for now range in age from about 3 to 6 years old, but I have also seen her with younger kids. Sylvie has babysat for my niece when she was only two months old, so she is great with all ages! I definitely recommend her for a Nanny position!”

“I first came to know Theresa when she worked for our agency in the Parent Child Home Program and had the opportunity to take a course, for which I was the professor. This course was designed to build on existing skills of participants and expand their use of Choice Theory/Reality Therapy based approaches in providing individualized family support. Theresa excelled in the course and quickly applied concepts to actual practice in her Main Line companion care job. For her volunteer work for the course, she served as a home visitor in the Parent/Child Home Program, in which she modeled literacy activities for parents to use with their children and helped parents to use the activities between visits. Theresa was an outstanding employee and readily engaged with parents and children! In the summer, Theresa came to work in Family Services and did an excellent job! Her duties included enrolling families into the program, individual home visits and providing childcare for parent meetings. She is a valuable employee, and I recommend her for any position working with children and families!”

“I have known Vespa for 6 years, first through her Main Line companion care job, and then as a Child Development Partner. She worked for those 6 years in the home base program with children ages 3 years old to 5 years old, and their families, providing early education and comprehensive services in the homes. In addition to home visits, Vespa planned and carried out a preschool classroom experience for her families two times per month and helped with childcare, provided monthly for Head Start families attending meetings. Vespa is very knowledgeable about child development, parenting, health, nutrition and safety! She is patient with children and their parents, always willing to help out, provide information or give a hug. Vespa is genuinely concerned for children and families, and will always do her best to provide consistent, nurturing care. She has a very strong work ethic and is reliable, calm and consistent. Any family who chooses Vespa to care for their children will find her to be a calming presence and a reliable caregiver!”
