"The amount of dedication to safety and organization that ABC Nanny Source puts in when it comes to such confidential information was what surprised me the most. I was so glad to read over multiple extensive profiles so that I could pick the best nanny and already trust her by the time she came to my home. I was fully relaxed even on the first day, because it already felt like I personally knew the nanny! That’s how descriptive their profiles are. From start to finish, the process was made simple, and I can confidently say we hired the perfect nanny for our children!"

Annette's passion for being a DeKalb County Mother's Helper is evidenced by her desire to be a great role model and show them love and support!

"I am a very nurturing and loving person. I am easy to get along with and very big on communication with parents. I enjoy being a DeKalb County Mother's Helper because I LOVE children and there is nothing else in this world, I could see myself doing other than caring for children, because that is what I love to do! I see myself being a great support to the families out here and building a great relationship with them. I am caring, kindhearted, and friendly. Being one on one with children in a home setting is a very different experience than working in a classroom setting, and I really enjoy it. I have been serving in some form of childcare for so many years and I feel children are special and I love being able to help them blossom into having their own personality. I love that they learn and grow at their own pace. My goal as a Mother's Helper is to is to be a great example to the children in my care. I want to teach them and help them grow by being the best support I can be. I am very responsible and someone you can depend on to keep an open line of communication. I want to assist the family with whatever help they need. If there is an area their children might be struggling in, I will be happy to help. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes cleaning, laundry, cooking, running errands for things needed around the house. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives, I would say that I am silly, delightful, gentle, compassionate, and considerate. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include taking walks, going to the park, age-appropriate field trips (ex. the zoo, Please Touch Museum, teaching colors or shapes activities, arts and crafts activities, and reading books! If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me, I would hope they would be communicative, kind and supportive.”

“I really appreciated having her help me in my time of need. She handled taking my children to their appointments and helping with homework to keeping the house clean and making sure dinner was done. There are so many wonderful things I can say about her; she’s wonderful to be around and very energetic. She has a great personality, loves to laugh and have fun with the children. She is very passionate, loving, very caring, and has great communication skills. She is always there when you need that helping hand. She was more than a nanny to my family; she was part of the family. She was in my family’s life for 7 years and those years were the best. I would stress about the long hours my husband and I were working, but she made me feel like there was no need to stress and the children were well taken care of. She worked long hours and still had her own family at home - she balanced everything so well. I couldn’t ask for a better nanny and she came to my family by pure luck from a mutual friend. My children are now older and didn’t need her care anymore. I don’t know how we would be where we are today if it wasn’t for having her in our corner while we pulled these long hours of work. I can’t see her doing anything else except for caring for children. If you want peace of mind, and want a fun loving and honest person, she is the one for the job. I wish her the very best of luck as a DeKalb County Mother's Helper and hope another family can enjoy her as much as my family did.”

“I was very comfortable leaving my newborn baby with her. She nurtured her as if she was her own. She was very aware of the things going on with my young one and informed me of how my child was doing each day. She would help me in areas that I perhaps fell short or didn’t have time to recognize. She was a gift to my family. She was excellent at all that was required of her. She often went above and beyond to perform her job duties.”

“She has a warm spirit. You can tell at first glance that she loves being with children and that she enjoys teaching them, reading with them, and helping them grow to their full potential. She was great with giving parents updates when we would pick up our children and she gives full details about the events of the day. My son got to the point that he would hold her neck when I came to pick him up because he was so attached, which made me feel great knowing that he was treated with love all day! As a parent leaving my child 5 days a week, it did not take long for me to be comfortable after just a week of my son being in her care. She treated my son as if he was her own with so much love and compassion. She was patient and honestly had nothing to improve on. Being a childcare provider is not just a job for her, it’s her livelihood!”

“She was a very wonderful person to work with. She has one of the brightest smiles to light up a whole room. I admire her great personality, very easy-going attitude, and fantastic communication skills. She is energetic, punctual, and very enthusiastic about being a teacher. I like the fact that she was always interacting with children and communicating daily with parents. She kept her infant room very clean by sanitizing the toys each day, cleaning up the children’s belongings and making sure paperwork was up to date, as well as turning in lesson plans on time. Overall a wonderful person to be around and work with. I wish her the best of luck. She went above and beyond her job duty. Not only was she a great teacher in the Infant room but she showed great team leadership skills as well.”

“She would make a wonderful Nanny to a family. She is loving, a great communicator, has a great personality, positive and open minded. When she came to work as an Infant room teacher, it was a pleasure to have her in my daughter’s room. I admit I was having problems with the teachers in the room prior to her being hired there, but she truly made a difference. I had peace of mind whenever I left my daughter in her care. She brightens up the infant room with her wonderful ideas and creativity. She was awesome when communicating with me whenever it was an issue with my child, such as letting me know when my child was low on diapers and wipes. She was also very specific when having conferences to discuss my child’s milestones. Calling me at work when my daughter was sick or even if she fell and bruised herself. She never wanted a parent not to know how their child’s day was. She always wrote about it in their daily log or called parents on the phone. She truly has a love for children. One time my daughter had a seizure at the daycare, and she handled the situation very well; she did a wonderful job keeping her safe during it. I was really impressed that she came to the hospital when she got off work and stayed with me and my daughter until she was released from the hospital. She is a very compassionate person. I was very sad the day I found out she was no longer working in the infant room and she was leaving. Her and I decided to keep in touch with one another and still sees my daughter, attends her birthday parties, video chat over the phone, and sometimes her and I get together for play dates. When she shared with me that she was going be a DeKalb County Mother's Helper, I was so happy for her because I know deep down in my heart, she is going to be a great nanny to a loving family and the children will adore her. I truly wish her the best of luck. She always made sure my daughter was being taking care of throughout the day along with the other children.”
