A Orange County Special Needs Nanny like Shasae has the experience and patient heart that would make her a wonderful asset to your family!

“I am the youngest sibling of four sisters and one brother, al of whom have children. Needless to say that childcare has been a part of my life for years. Most of my professional work experience is child related which dates back to when I was 14 years old. I am certified to teach the grades P-6, but beyond skills I have enthusiasm. I feel most comfortable when working with children and take an interest in their innocence and curiosity for life. Its cool to know that you can teach a child and learn a lot from them as well. I see care giving as more than just a job and take the opportunity to be a part of a childs life as my gratification. Each and every child has a future that shines bright and being one who helped shape it in the smallest way is an honor. The reason I have chosen to be in the Nanny profession over any other is because I am interested in caring for children in a one-on-one basis. I have been serving in some form of childcare for over ten years and can honestly say that I am proud of what I do! I feel children are the biggest little bunches of energy that can brighten anyone’s day. Children bring out the very best in me and are a joy to be around. My goal as an Orange County Special Needs Nanny is to provide long-term quality care and to be a positive role model to the children I serve. I am willing to do housekeeping that includes general tidying up after child(ren), messes made from playtime/ arts & crafts, messes made from feeding/ eating/ cooking, child(rens) laundry. If I had to describe myself in five adjectives, I would say that I am reliable, honest, compassionate, innovative, and sincere. Activities that I would like to incorporate in the daily plan for the family I care for would include reading, arts & crafts, outdoor play and outings (Aquarium, zoo, plays, arcades, museum, skating, etc.)! If asked to describe the perfect family seeking a Nanny like me, I would hope they are understanding, caring, and easy to get along with.”

“She is a wonderful caregiver!! She took care of my baby/toddler, who has seizures, and my 5-year-old daughter. The kids love being around her and she loves being around them. She is very interactive with them; takes them on walks, park, restaurants, took my daughter to tennis practice. She even watched both of my children for 5 days while my husband and I were away in Jamaica. All I can say is she is GREAT as a Orange County Special Needs Nanny! She is great, kind, smart, caring. I’m sure she would make any parent happy while caring for their child.”

“She was my student teacher for my third-grade classroom and completed her whole student teaching period with me. During her time with me and my class, she had a unique understanding of how children learn and develop. She was always willing to adjust any part of her lessons that she believed could be improved to meet the developmental needs of the children. Her classroom management skills grew with her confidence in working with the children. Her maturity in dealing with the students was evident and thus commanded real respect from the students. She is extremely organized and reliable. She also took the initiative to create many colorful, creative, and effective bulletin boards relating to the work being done and the units studied in class. She became even more efficient in her teaching by keeping lists of students who owe work, as well as, announcing the homework assigned each day. She is also extremely creative in her lesson planning and used many forms of teaching and hands on activities to enhance her lessons. She understands the importance of motivating students and keeping their attention. She possesses a great appreciation for children especially those who need a sympathetic teacher and much encouragement to succeed. She is kind and respectful to each child. It is evident that she believes children are capable of so much and she never underestimates their abilities. She has a great rapport with the students and a sincere interest and concern for their education. She conducted herself in a professional manner and was well dressed, articulate, and prepared for daily activities. Her lessons were always engaging and met the standards of our school district. Her professionalism and flexibility made working with her a wonderful experience for the me and the students. She is confident, knowledgeable, and has the skills to become a wonderful teacher. I believe that she will continue to grow and become even more effective as future opportunities are presented. Her dedication to the class and the profession does not go unnoticed.”

“She was assigned to a third-grade class as a student teacher and I could not be more impressed with her! As her University Supervisor/Clinical Instructor, I had frequent opportunities to observe the lessons she planned and conducted. She quickly established positive rapport with the children in her class and they responded well to her calm and confident demeanor. She developed and offered lessons that were linked to the standards and geared to the varied abilities of the students in her class. She challenged her students to think critically as she built upon their prior learning to support their mastery of unfamiliar concepts and skills. I recommend her to your agency without reservation. I am confident she will be an asset to any childcare position, including as an Orange County Special Needs Nanny.”

“I met her during her time at the school, where we both worked, and she was an AmeriCorps member. We were recruited to provide a language and literacy program to preschool children throughout the country. She pushed herself to become a better teacher each and every day and was open to learning. She enrolled in multiple years of service and had I could see her dedication to working with young children. She brought joy to the classroom and quickly proved to children that she could be trusted. She had the ability to create meaningful relationships with children, allowing them to experiment, explore, and make mistakes. She would be a wonderful nanny.”

“As the Program Assistant for the Student Health Services department, I had oversaw her work at our medical and fitness/wellness facilities for the past two and half years. In that time, I have seen many examples of her talent and have been impressed by her diligence and work ethic. I would highly recommend her to your agency! She was a part of the front reception team at Student Health Services for the majority of her time here. She would handle many students every day that were checking in for patient visits or assist them with verifying immunization requirements. Students will come to our facility when they are ill or when they need to access their student accounts when blocked by our department for immunization non-compliance. She showed patience with students and dealt with difficult situations promptly and effectively. She was always attentive to the needs of each person. She also represented our department very well during wellness events and Open House events. It was a pleasure to have her as part of the Health Services team but then we needed her in a different capacity, she stepped up to assist in her final semester with the fitness/ wellness program. She quickly became part of the team and was a reliable employee that showed responsibility for her work. She often helped the graduate assistant with ideas and planning that improved the program. As part of the wellness facility reception staff, she was always enthusiastic and encouraged participants to help them meet their fitness goals. She also participated in events that helped promote the program to the campus community. To conclude, I would like to restate my recommendation for her. She is a person that is adaptable, dependable, creative, and smart. She was an important part of our team and would certainly be an asset to anybody who hires her!”
