Florida Nanny Services and Salaries
Permanent Full-Time Live-Out Nannies |
Nannies that work 40-55+ hours a week are considered full time nannies. These nannies can provide a variety of different services to your family. These services can be transportation children to and from activities or appointments. Some nannies assist with household chores in the case that the family requests it. If a family would like assistance in that department, it is anticipated that they will include this in the initial offer of employment and both the family, and the nanny are aware of these expectations. As expected, these requirements will always come second to their childcare duties. Most nannies in this position are paid $700-$950 a week and additional benefits, paid holidays, sick days, and vacation are all offered, too. Occasionally, a reimbursement for medical insurance is included. These details are all determined by references, prior work history, and the elements of the position.
Permanent Part-Time Live-Out Nannies |
Nannies that work 25 to 39 hours a day are considered part time nannies and are usually paid by an hourly rate instead of a salary, since hours tend to vary. Nannies are usually paid anywhere from $18 to $25 per hour and are often offered paid vacation, sick time, and holidays.
Permanent Full-Time Live-in Nannies
Nannies that work 50 to 60+ hours per week and live in-house are referred to as Full Time, Live in Nannies. These nannies are usually provided a living area and bathroom and are oftentimes gifted a guest suite if the home offers it. Live-in nannies tend to be more flexible in terms of scheduling as they are at the mercy of the mother and father’s schedules. When working for two professional individuals, schedules can become crazy and nannies have to be able to adapt. Many times, a car is gifted to the nanny so they are able to transport children anywhere they may need to go. Since these families are busy, a housekeeper is usually hired for any household duties other than meal prep, which can become a responsibility of a nanny. If this is expected of the nanny, they will be made aware in their offer of employment. As always, children are first priority! Full time live-in nannies are often paid $700 - $1,000 a week along with paid holidays, sick days, vacation, and reimbursement for medical insurance. Again, these details are determined by references, work history, and the elements of the position.
